Isoyama Benzaiten is said to have been founded by Prince Fujiwara Hidesato in the 2nd year of the Celestial Calendar (948). The spring water of Deryuhara Bentenike is a designated natural monument of Tochigi Prefecture and is counted as one of the 100 best waters in Japan certified by the Ministry of the Environment. It is created by fresh water gushing out of a cave formed by dissolving limestone in the paleozoic layer, and the amount of spring water is constant at 2,400 (cubic meters / day) throughout the year, and the water temperature is 16 degrees Celsius.
