- Finist the Bright Falcon. A Slavic Folktale.
What would you like from the market place? New shoes, dresses, the latest thing? Or a feather from Finist the Bright Falcon and with it, a glimpse into the soul of the world.
Possibly a corruption of 'Phoenix' - 'Finist' the Bright Falcon is one of the more popular fairy stories in Russia with many variations.
A story of the witch baba yaga, and a man who is really a falcon.
A story for the souls journey to find its deeper self. What treasures await at the edge of the world?
Told here by storyteller Oliver Lavery.

Thank you for all that you do for us Storyteller. ❤
Thanks for listening friend 🙏✨
So glad the algorythm brought you to my feed, I am enjoying your storytelling style and energy immensely. This is the reason we gathered around bonfires and drank mead in the old days.
All hail the algorithm gods! I’m glad they led you here too 🙏✨🔥 🍻
Another wonderful tale! ❤️
I feel bits of my soul healing. Thank you!
Touch way deeper than the Hollywood/Disney hero stories. Dripping with resonances and otherworldly gifts and confirmations. Again I thank you, both of you as no doubt you support each other, and so glad I found this channel. 🌞🌒✨🌍🔥💦💨
Ahh, that video doesn’t get a lotta love, glad you enjoyed it ☺️🙏
"So far, so Cinderella" is a great phrase.
💁♀️
Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Cupid and Psyche, and my favorite: East of the Sun, West of the Moon all jumped into my mind as the story went on. There's nothing more romantic than the imagery of wearing through iron shoes to find your love. As someone who doesn't drive and walks a lot (and has worn through many a pair of shoes, not iron!) that bit always resonates with me deeply. Wonderful telling!
Thanks for sharing ☺️🙏
You crack me up!! 🤣🤣
You are a brilliant storyteller ! I was transfixed from beginning to end 😊 Thank you
I really appreciate that. Thank you, friend 🙏
Thank you thank you thank you 💜
I grew up with Russian folk tales and enjoyed this version of yours a lot.
Keep it up.
Thank you kindly. Bb ✨🙏
Thank you

You're my favourite storyteller. Brilliant, and it makes me think 😊
Thanks for coming back and listening willow wand ✨😊🧙
Love it!
Pleased to hear it. Doesn’t get enough love that story. And thanks for the support too 😉🙏☺️
This was awesome. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great story telling. Think I’ve met that 2nd and 3rd Baba Yaga on a dating site.
😂😂😂
I love your channel! Beautiful story telling! How about “The Brother and Sister?” I think it’s another Slavic tail the brother transforms into a deer…. Thank you!!
Ah yes, I think I know it. There’s one on my channel where a girl turns into a deer. It’s on the ‘Birch Tree’ video. Thanks for watching 🙏☺️
I wonder if that story partly inspired C.S. Lewis’ children’s story, the silver chair? As always, loved the way you told the story ☺️
I wouldn’t be at all surprised!
❤
great
Cheers 🦅 ✨
Beautifully Brilliant ❣️
Thanks a lot 😊
This is a great story. Thank you.
Ps. Is there a part 3 of the Tristan and isolde(?) story?
It’s coming, I promise. Wanted to do it in Cornwall ☺️ 🌊
Thanks for the suggestion. I love Tristan and Isolde 🙏 🦅 🍷
