- This is a video on how to use launch control on a Dodge Challenger Hellcat with manual transmission. i also did a mid muffler swap instead of using a straight pipe. The mid pipes are Dynomax 24250, and they sound great! #launchcontrol

The mid mufflers really don't restrict that much. I had them deleted on my scatpack about a year ago. No rattle. The mid mufflers on the hellcat are even smaller.
I did the same thing, except I installed Flowmaster Super 10s. I like the sound a little deeper.

Tires definitely help in these beast. It's tough though to get perfect. Any wheel movement cancels. Great vid

I agree with *replacing* the mufflers vs straight pipe.🤔 As we know, *louder* for loudness sake, does NOT = better. SRT engineers aren't stupid. The Hellcat, (or other SRTs), are engineered as a total package of drivability, performance, longevity, and sustainable, 50 state LEGAL performance. Exhaust gas flow, pressures, ect, have all been taken into account by SRT. That's what makes SRT worthwhile.👌

The exhaust guy is wrong. I’m on my second car with a mid muffler delete. No issues with the actuator. The stock mid mufflers are a straight through system so they don’t really restrict flow.
I haven’t had any problems with mine, and none of others I known
Did you end up having any problems with the exhaust valve actuators? It’s been a few years and wanted an update on how it’s holding up

We have so many backroads here , I do like 20 percent highways travel to work. No indicators got the gears, but that will be cool to have

Steven Adams They sound the same when staged, but is a rev limiter. If you don’t do it correctly, you have to stage again.
Donesan707 oh cause I have a 6.4l scat pack with Dynomax mini and have launch but I have never recorded it haha to me it sounded like you had a two step from other videos I have heard

You will know when it’s set , when it bounces on the set rpms.
You need to work on the clutch release. Go a little slower. RPMs should not be allowed to drop below your set launch point.

Dustin Horton You can, if you’re a pro. At launch you can’t just gas it, it will stay in the hole making a huge burnout.
Donesan707 yea I know idk I guess to me it’s pointless on a manual the whole purpose of opting for a manual is having complete control over the car...as with anything practice makes perfect i wouldn’t say I’m a pro but I don’t need launch control and a stick
Dustin Horton That’s what I think, That day was the first time using launch control, and I haven’t used it since. It’s a cool option but not essential.

Seems like it would be easier to modulate the gas pedal and dump the clutch, than do the official launch control...
