Hey Wood, my comment will probably get lost in the comments, but I really appreciate your content and the community you built. 2020 was really hard on my mental health due to how my career was unfolding and losing loved ones, but seeing your videos & playing videos game kept me sane. Thanks for all your efforts in promoting mental health as well.
Mental health is no joke. I’ve been through tough times as well. Not sure about your beliefs, but God has helped me a lot during those tough times. My best friend is going through a really hard time as well and I’m trying as much as possible to help her through it. Just wanted to let you know that there are a lot of people going through the same thing or something similar.
I doubt we will get TP HD based on what Nintendo has said on the past, they want to release one Zelda game every year so I believe that is why they haven’t released yet so they can release them a year or two from now
Ah yes, I remember the golden era of gaming in the early to late 00’s when every single game was “X remastered” and “X the remake” and “X: Definitive/HD edition”. Oh wait, games were actually good back then and weren’t all just nostalgia cash grabs if when games were actually decent… Insane how bad it’s gotten. Hollywood has fallen into the same bullshit in the past 10 years as well
17:39 Also worth mentioning that Outer Wilds is REALLY GOOD! Knowledge of the world is all that stands between you and finding an ending of the game so don't look up too many spoilers. Because learning about the world through various puzzles is an amazing joy with some hints of eerie adventures that make the other places in the world all the more welcoming.
I know it is definitely more work with editing, but I always appreciate in your listing videos like this when we can get the names put on screen as you talk about them. It always helps me at least to follow along easier and write down the names of the games I am interested in! Just a thought for next year, but anyways love the content as always! Keep it up!
I haven't been this excited about a game more than Kirby and the Forgor Land I'm so surprised that they actually made the game look beautiful for the first Mainline 3d Kirby Game
You should definitely give Rune Factory 5 a go! I'm also excited about the new Atelier game (Sophie 2), but otherwise you covered literally everything - very impressive! And you're right: this year looks to be absolutely amazing, and it feels like we're starting to wind down with what's left to put on Switch.
@@jemmadavies3226 Start either with the first Ryza game, or the first of the Mystery trilogy (Atelier Sophie). All games except Ryza (and soon to be Sophie) have different main characters, but each trilogy is set in the same world with repeating characters and elements. Ryza 2 is the only one that I can say is definitely superior in every way to Ryza 1 (at least in my opinion) because everything is just refined more and runs better, but the story is a direct sequel, so won't make sense without the first. As for which to go for: Ryza was an attempt to simplify the crafting system, which had become really complicated in later games, and as a result is really welcoming to newcomers. However, it also has a different battle system to all the others, being real-time turn based. Sophie and the other Mystery games are slightly more complex, but have turn based battling and are a more classic example of the atelier series, as each individual game is effectively standalone (again, until Sophie 2 comes out). Hope that helps!
The games I'm really looking forward to that haven't been mentioned here are: Atelier Sophie 2, switch ports of both Crystar and Death end re;Quest 2 as well as Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising.
Breath of the wild 2, Kirby and the forgotten lands Splatoon 3 and Pokemon Arcues are definitely must buys for me. Im hype for sonic too I just need to see more from it. Bayonetta 3 as well hopefully it comes out this year!

My top 3 are BotW 2, Kirby and Triangle Strategy. However I'm very excited that one of my favourite games is also getting a Switch port this year - 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Such a compelling and unique story.
Some updates for those interested in these two games. The switch versions of Life is strange remastered and Dying Light 2 Cloud version were recently both delayed by the devs. Neither of them have a solid release date now, just "later this year"
I’m so excited for Rune Factory 5! I absolutely loved the 4th game. Also excited for BOTW2 even though I’ve barely scratched the surface of the first game lol
I grabbed #1 on DS on a whim. I wasn't that happy with it... Then years later, I heard good things about RF4 and absolutely loved it. Preordered RF5 collectors edition as soon as it was announced.
I'm so fricking hyped for the sequel of breath of the wild!!!!!!! (Amazing video, its one of those that you dont get bored, even though its 24 min long!)
I’ve been waiting for more AC games to come to switch for a while now. I had a load of them on my xbox 360 so it’ll be fun to play more of them on the go
It might be impossible to beat zelda, Mario, and mario kart in the same year (even though it was a rerelease it was new to most people) along with everything else that came out that year.
The switch’s lifespan is not over just yet, it would still survive for 3 - 7 more years, we would see Pokémon Gen 9, Mariokart 9, Metroid Prime 4 and, this is a bit of a stretch but, Pokémon Gen 5 Remakes
I just hope they dont make like a switch 2 or something like that where you cant play the new games on the old console and you have to buy a new console
I’m so pumped for Lego Star Wars!! Clearly this was written and recorded prior to the trailer and release date reveal, it’s April 5th btw (for anyone that didn’t already know)
I've been playing Temtem on PC for years and pretty much the only reason I cannot recommend it to people is because the multiplayer is so buggy. I play this with a friend and we spend at least 40 minutes trying to just get the co-op to be stable enough that we can go into more than 1 fight without it dropping and one of us having to restart, which takes another 10 minutes in itself.
Sea of Stars, BOTW2, Triangle Strategy, Advance Wars remake, TMNT Shredder Revenge, AC Enzo collection, Lego Star Wars, Sports Story, Bomb Rush cyberfunk & Silk Song are all on my radar this yr.

I'm assuming Mario Kart, maybe BotW and Prime will be delayed until then. If they release all those games they've been developing, what are they going to launch on the new Switch?
Oi mate, just wanted to say thank you for being a content creator for Nintendo wether if you are your not, to me you are. When I was about 6 I got a game boy color and loved it until I stopped then when I was 8 got a 3ds and played for a while then grew out of it. Had Xbox ever since. Today I bought my first Nintendo switch console and I love it. Crazy to see the games you can play honestly. You inspired me to grab a new Nintendo console after so many years even now being an adult owning a little switch lite makes me really happy. Thank you for your content and everything you put out for people all around the world. 💯
I'd be shocked if Mario Kart 9 came out on switch. Mario Kart 8 is still one of the best selling games despite being fairly old at this point. Of course Mario Kart 9 is going to come out, but the smart move would be to make it a launch title for the next console
Why? What if the next console ends up flopping? Meanwhile switch already has an install base of 100+ million people. With chip shortages and the risk of a new console flopping I don’t see why Nintendo wouldn’t try to pump out as many big games on Switch as they can especially when you consider whatever the new console will be it will probably have them breaking even or even losing money on every unit sold at the beginning. If anything I think the switch’s life will be expanded by a year or two with an updated console design. Maybe do something like what they did with Gameboy to Gameboy color, where games on the updated console can play games in higher fidelity but the older model can still play them just with lower graphical and performance specs
@@nicholasrashell4783 The next console will certainly flop if they don't have any big launch titles and Mario Kart 9 would be a great system seller. Part of the reason the Wii U failed is because they didn't have many big games on release or even in the first year. Plus, if they release 9 on the switch, they'd just cannibalize the sales for 8. If the sales for 8 had died down, releasing the sequel on the same system would make sense, but 8 is still at the top of the charts.
I’m so excited for Pokémon Legends Arceus, Kirby & the forgotten land, Mario & Rabbids 2, Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga, Splatoon 3, Breath of the Wild 2, and Sonic Frontiers.

I had gotten out of gaming for the most. part i played a few games on pc, but it was moslty to kill time and i ended spending more time on yt then actually playing. Picked up an oled switch on a whim and wow. It has rekindled my love of gaming. Getting to play all my child hood favorites via nintendo online, and some of the new games im having a blast.
