I hope you find him alive and he can get help. I too have a son with schizophrenia and have this sooo resonates with me. My son graduated (somehow) from engineering school too. He is currently stable on meds. Seriously, I will pray for your son tonight.
We have several family members with this illness one on medication, one who refuses medication, a sister who refused medication and took her life, & now my niece has been diagnosed after some serious break downs. They are extremely intelligent loving people. It’s heart wrenching, you feel as though you hit a brick wall daily. Praying for both of you.
These stories are so very sad. Dane’s story especially resonates. My sister was such a kind, loving person. She was a person with money and gave gave to help others. But all the money in the world couldn’t save her. She began having serious paranoia and believed the government was out to get her and mentioned she had a target on her back. She would jot down license plates, had thousands! She thought all those people were out to get her. Sadly, she ended her life in 2019. We are heartbroken and my brother in law is wrecked. Praying for a safe return for all these families. 🙏🏽

He is my my sons age, I only have one one child, I can’t imagine what turmoil this family is going through. He’s in my prayers, he is a handsome guy just like my son, my heart breaks for this Mother and so many other parents that missing children… so heart wrenching! Praying for all‼️‼️‼️
My My wife has has suffered this kind of thinking for years I’ve made all kinds of mistakes in handling it over these years. These days we have a deal where I’ll listen to her referential thinking and honestly try be as supportive as I can be without being dismissive as long as she takes her meds as prescribed and is in regular contact with mental health support team. I’ve kicked her to the curb in the past and attempted to move on with my own life and she spent years on the street getting into to a fair amount of legal trouble. I promised my son I would attempt to stabilize her enough so she could attend his wedding and that attempt was successful. However since then she went of the grid as least once again tossing her phones and whatnot but she did return home fairly quickly though. Not sure what happens next though because I have to keep myself stable (recovering addict/alcoholic) in order to give her a stable environment to live.
Not sure why it’s illegal tho to abandon your stuff and run away from your family, unless this Ryan guy did some crime that he was tryna hide from, or owed a lot of $$ and tryna fake death to get out of it or similar, but if he was just spineless and tryna run away from his kids n wife without having to tell them or do that emotional stuff, just wanting to disappear run away from everybody he knows to another country for no other reason, the it’s not really his fault that they spent so much searching for him, it’s not illegal to be a spineless gutless wanker tho , is it?
