Highly anticipated! I want to share the first part of a series that has been kicking around in my head for quite some time. You can easily make your own beautiful sheath for your personal Slöjd knife just with simple tools! Last year I´ve made several batches of individual Slöjd knives using Mora 106 blades and others. The handle design is very specifically optimized to give you full palm support while nesting comfortably in your hand when doing reverse cuts. I called it "DogLeg", based on antique pocket knife patterns.
    Knife:
    Part 1: Carving the handle
    Part 2: Fitting the Blade
    Part 3: Finishing the Handle
Part 4: Glueing up the Knife
    Sheath:
Part 1: Fitting the Sheath Liner
Entirely shot on a 50 year old manual lens for the finest contrast and sharpness!
This will be a continuing series, so make sure to stay tuned and support the channel with your likes and shares!

Great videos, and thanks for warning about going slowly and taking our time. I think often we get in too big of a hurry, and make mistakes. Working wood is just like a haircut, easier to take some more off - impossible to add any back if we messed it up!! Thanks and keep up the good work, I needed to see this!

You seem to have an eye for symmetry, and a steady hand ! Although you speak of Austria, to my ear you sound Polish . Good job.......

These videos really helped me carve my sheath. I'm confident enough to try making one in reindeer antler now. Thanks so much

Of course... That is next up.. Pretty intimidating to make a video about it, I have to admit.
