    The Green Bay Packers arguably finished the 2023 NFL season as one the hottest teams in all of football. Jordan Love is now looking like one of the best quarterbacks in the league, the Packers young WR core in Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, & Dontayvion Wicks look phenomenal. And not to mention with what the Packers are already pulling off in 2024 NFL Free Agency, we need to talk.
    Now the addition of RB Josh Jacbos to the Green Bay Packers backfield was unexpected, but it might take this Packers offense to a new level. In 2023, Matt LaFleur found a rhythm with Jordan Love as the season went on, whether that was through play-action, unique run schemes, etc, the Packers added a weapon they’ve seemingly never had before, despite Aaron Jones going to the Vikings. We also have yet to mention the threat in the TE room with Luke Musgrave & Tucker Kraft, along with the Packers 2024 NFL Draft plans.
    Then, there’s the Packers defense. And when you think about the addition of S Xavier McKinney along with new Packers DC Jeff Hafley coming to GB, this defense could see a level of production unlike years past. Throwing Xavier McKinney in a secondary already including Jaire Alexander, Anthony Johnson Jr & Eric Stokes, along with a frontline of Kenny Clark, Devonte Wyatt, Preston Smith, Quay Walker, Rashan Gary, etc, the Packers are looking to make a strong push in 2024 by the looks of it.
    This video includes 2024 Green Bay Packers Free Agency Offseason highlights, also including topics like Green bay packers 2024, packers free agency moves, packers news today, gb packers free agency signings, packers offseason moves, packers aaron jones, packers david bakhtiari, packers xavier mckinney, green bay xavier mckinney, packers josh jacobs, josh jacobs highlights, xavier mckinney highlights, packers jeff hafley interview, packers interview, packers 2024 nfl draft news, matt lafleur interview, brian gutekunst packers, jordan love offseason, dontayvion wicks offseason, packers signings, packers vs cowboys, packers vs 49ers, packers highlights 2024, packers live, green bay free agency, aaron jones vikings, romeo doubs packers, christian watson packers, jayden reed highlights, packers keisean nixon, packers mock draft 2024, packers press conference, packers offense, packers defense, etc, which I do not own ANY of the rights to whatsoever, as these are intended to be used under the guidelines of fair use through RUclips.

      Jones was a 5th round pick who totally overachieved and people are overlooking that. I hate to say it, but who knows if he’d have gotten a fair chance elsewhere? This might’ve been the best scenario for him career-wise, and it just had to end this way. It’s hard to pay 2 RBs in this league and even harder to do that with a RB turning 30 next season.

    Jacob’s ran behind one of the worst run blocking lines in the league last year on a team that was doomed with turmoil and drama since he got there. McDaniel was horrible! I bet he had a career year in this scheme playing for a well run team with a legit hope to win. Jones is a better back but Jacob’s isn’t far behind in the right scheme with a good line

    • @sirchancellor4235
      @sirchancellor4235 6 месяцев назад +6

      I agree with this a lot. I think Jones as of this next year is still a better back than Jacobs... But with their ages and health taken into account I think this puts the Packers in a better long term situation. With all the rookies we had and how young the team is I expect us to stay a top contender for a few years without need for major changes.
      That's why last year was such a success! Knowing that we found our next quarterback just opens up the door for us to improve the team so much this house season without any worry.

      I have to push back on what you said.Jones is not a better back His best season is 1100 yd.Jacobs, best season is 1600. With a dysfunctional organization, if this was baseball, jacobs would be a five tool player, Jones great in his own right, but is an undersized heart of a lion running back I've seen him get bullied in the playoffs and have the ball took from him not being able to finish in the playoffs on long runs I just saw Jacobs take a hand off.At the 10 yd line and go the distance, he's the total package.Go pack

      @@erickthefantabulous1 Aaron jones ypc is 4.9 in his career, Jacob’s is only 4.2. That’s a big difference. Jacob’s has more carries than jones in 2 less years. Jones is also a better receiver out of the backfield. He’s also known as one of the best pass blocking backs in the league. He was pancaking the cowboys rushers in the playoffs. Jones has 18 receiving tds to Jacobs zero. Jones is a complete back and statistically better per play. He was grossly under used his first 4 seasons. Aaron jones was ranked number 10 all time in nfl history In yards per carry just a few games ago while still at 5.0 ypc. That’s huge man!the argument for Jacob’s is durability but he has also been hurt quite a bit in his career so he’s not super durable either. The age difference is also mostly negated by the massive increase in workload. Jones has a lot more tread on the tires for his age because he was under used his whole career. Jacob’s was one of the most used backs in his career. They both have missed exactly 10 games in the last 5 years. Exactly the same amount over the last 5 years. Jacobs will likely stay healthier being used less in GB though.

    Here’s what makes what the Packers are doing even better… they’re being slept on. The narrative right now is that “Detroit is about to run the NFC”, and that “it’s their division to lose”… I think Green Bay, despite making the playoffs and TRASHING the Cowboys, is being big time slept on, and people don’t truly realize what Green Bay has put together.
    If that team picks up right where they left off offensively, and that defense under Jeff Hafley develops into a solid unit, that Packers team could be, not just a good team… A DOMINANT team. Jordan Love proved he’s a legit QB, that WR/TE core is loaded with so much potential, on top of that very difficult to cover because so many different guys can get open, & Josh Jacobs is a great addition to that offense despite losing Jones! Add more pieces to the O-line through the draft, and it’ll be probably one of the most complete offenses in the NFL this upcoming season!

    As a Packer fan, I love A Jones, but let's not forget how many times he could've beat the 49ers if he didn't get gassed and just scored on those long runs. He could've sealed the deal in 2 of those playoff losses.

    As a packers fan i just want us to pick up a decent kicker and solidify our O-line.
    The rest of our upgrades needs to be development and defensive coaching
    I have full confidence in this team, they just need to play as well as we know they can.

    Realistically I can see this team (barring any serious injuries) going 13-4/14-3. They are one of the most complete teams in the league. Kicking might be an issue but I believe Carlson or Podlesny will be up to the challenge. Bringing in some competition at kicker will make the difference.

    Jacobs will do what he always does. Come into camp once every two years in shape, typically his contract year… kick ass. Then come back 15 lbs heavier the next season… and shit the bed. Just looks at his year to year performance. Like clockwork. But man, when he’s in shape, he’s a game changer.

      What are you even talking about? In 5 seasons he's had two seasons only 200 yards short of 1000 yards rushing. He's only missed 10 games his whole career and in 2022 when he led the league in rushing, he had the 29th best o line in the league 😂

  • @IamSavoiiMusic
    @IamSavoiiMusic 6 месяцев назад +1

    We were one of the worst run defenses in the league last year and really we didn't have enough QB pressure/sacks either. I think that is going to be the biggest unsolved problem still remaining. We need to improve the D line in the draft and/or current dudes need to step up.

  • @jakematter1819

    Lifelong Packer fan. I've been thru this with Javon Walker, Jordie, and all the other players and I'll say the same here. Thank you Jones but respectfully fuck you. He's 30;years old , only played 11 games last season, and if he's all for Green Bay then why the hell is he crying over 1 million? If he's that coveted why did he take a 1 mil upgrade over other teams. Footballs a business and dudes just being petty from getting swapped.
    Packs gonna be dangerous next year for real. We just need a Box Safety, MLB/DT depth, and O-Line. Maybe another corner but with Ballentine and Nixon getting bigger contracts I feel like CB is less important and feel like they're going to roll with those 4.
    Draft is best player available, I really want them to trade up for Mims tbh. With David gone on Tackle we need a replacement and Mims just looks and feels like a guy who you just play blind side tackle for the next 12 years. He's huge, got a good draft combine grade, and one of the best tackles in the draft.

    Are there any packer fans out there that think these 2 free agent pick ups remind me of the 90s when the packers landed the late great Reggie white. I mean we got a very young offense plus josh jacobs will be a beast . I think we need to beef up our run game for josh...

    The Packers are keeping Dillon, who is 6'0" 248lbs and drafted 5'9" 220lb RB MarShawn Lloyd in the 3rd round.
    Jacobs will probably get around 200 yards and 50 catches. He isn't going to lead the league in overall production, but he will be fresher and probably better per carry for it.

      At least. If the coaching is good on the defensive side of the ball I expect to be competing for the number 1 seed even though I’d prefer the number 2 so they don’t get rusty over a week. The NFC championship game, while lofty, is my expectations for this team now anything less and I’d be disappointed especially if we have another draft like the last two.

    Jacobs is three years younger than Jones, and Jones was having some injury issues. Fan favorite or not, all things considered, it was time for GB to move on Jones, and, depending on how healthy Jones can stay, GB may have emerged from the transition even stronger, and younger to boot. GB gets full marks for the switch from Jones to Jacobs. McKinney's acquisition explains itself - he was the best safety on the market, and solves what was a Packer weakness on defense. Full marks again.

  • @mpbMKE
    @mpbMKE 6 месяцев назад +1

    Then they brought back Dillon, who is much better when he's not expected to be a 50/50 back. Teams are going to get pounded by Jacobs the whole game, then when he's out? Pounded even more. Might as well draft Braelon Allen in the 5th and make it a power attack that even Lombardi would be jealous of. If health is the biggest question mark for Jacobs, then what else is new compared to Jones? I love Aaron Jones, but he's not built to have as many touches as the Packers need out of their lead back.
