Took Villa from floundering around the bottom half of the Championship to an established Premiership club once again. The club will be forever indebted to him and he's always welcome back. He took impossible jobs at Norwich and especially Leicester so I'm happy to see him take on a project that seems to have some stability behind it. Give him time - it might take a while but for sure he'll do well and get CFC established.
The Norwich job wasn't impossible, he had a great squad for the Championship. He lost the dressing room and criticised the fans that had been used to seeing exciting attacking football.
As a CLTFC fan, it makes me smile when I see fans from other Leagues chime in about a coach that is liked so much. I'm really hoping he can help us have an ACTUAL identity and have tactics. Seems like all we got to do is Let Dean Cook. Por La Corona!
Unfortunately I now have my hopes up. But we all know Tepper is going to fire him eight games into the season... smh... I hope he got a long term deal and still gets paid after he gets fired. Still For the Crown! But also Fuck Tepper!
He picks out talented players from the squad and gives them a role with freedom to roam during the game. He has an eye for talented youngsters too. So if you have some good younger players He will definitely help develop them

Great manager at the Villa really nice genuine bloke i also watched him has a player for Walsall many years ago. We are coming to Charlotte in June but only for 3 days as we are in Orlando and Clearwater also but i will come and visit the stadium and see what its all about with my 14 year old and would love to bump into Deano as hes our hero. UTV and of course Charlotte

UP THE MIGHTY VILLA!!!!! Huge opportunity for the man who did so much for our club, his boyhood club, and set a foundation upon which we thrive today! Give the man time to implement his system and get the players onside. His man management is phenomenal. Excited that the former manager from my favorite Premier League team is now the manager of our MLS team in North Carolina (hopefully another one comes to NC in a few years time).
I wish smudger all the best. I'm not a Villa fan but he did a good job with them. I think the Norwich gig was a bit a of a suicide mission though. Fair play to smudger for picking up a gig in a place he likes. The MLS is okay and I'll watch it if nowt else is on but it's not the Prem. Still If he's getting $$$ for being a manager and likes where he living, it's a win win for him!
