Thanks for checking out the video! Be sure to hit the like button and subscribe to be a part of the Creative Crew! As far as the video, let me edit my ending question... I understand WHAT was being done (making her perfect man), I just was not sure how it tied into the song. That's what I wanted help understanding haha. Regardless, GREAT VIDEO!

I think it ties in to the song in at least two ways. She's chosen as perfect man Geoff, who truly feels her love, sees her glow, and loves her back without reservation. He is, in fact, the mannequin head that sings about the glow on her face & radiant gleam in her eyes. In successfully creating her perfect man, she shines in another way. She has brought to life her perfect love (with his partnership, of course), this is possibly the hardest thing for anyone to accomplish. To me the song shines a light on love, and the beauty love brings to those who can give and accept it.

The biggest clue was in Kathy's journal- The Perfect Man. She's a toymaker, and she's crafting the perfect man, and those 5 heads were her prototypes. In the end she picked Geoff, obviously, although she has stated that they are *all* perfect, and that she simply made Geoff first.

Whenever Geoff adds a bridge it almost always is my favorite part. This song is no exception. It deserves more love than it gets

    Awesome reaction Chris.
Kathy, Geoff's wife is a toymaker. Much like Gepetto from Pinocchio. She is making the perfect man. Hence the heads to go on the mannequin. She of course chose Geoff. And he turns into a real man.
You can see the true love on their faces when they smile at each other. That part is not an act. They are true soulmates.

They are (I hope so). But did you watch the BTS? They are also teasing one another... and: They are very good actors. ALL of them!!🎉😊❤

A couple of little Easter eggs in this one. The sign in the very beginning has the the words voice and play in German. The blocks spell out VoicePlay. In the window is a marionette of Pinocchio echoing the idea that she is the toy maker and she is making a “real boy”.
When they first released the rough cut to the patrons, they just had the heads on the table singing. Just heads. Just sitting there on the table like lifelike Jack-I-lanterns. No stands and no storyline. It was more than a little creepy. Fortunately that was a rough draft!
As much as I love the harmonies and the split second changes (is that syncopation?), I love the bridge that Geoff wrote. I’m finding that more and more often that’s my favorite part of the whole song😊.

Tony Wakim (Layne’s partner in Pattycake Productions and former Voiceplay baritone) did all the sketches in the journal. They all signed a page and it was auctioned at one of VoicePlay’s patron charity auctions. It brought in a lot of money for good causes.

This one remains on my very, very, very favorites list from Voiceplay. Obviously the arrangement and performance are wonderful. I always describe it, when I recommend it as weird, creepy, sweet and romantic. If I could have that last scene of Geoff and Kathy as a picture on my wall, I would take it in a heartbeat.

The beautiful lady is Kathy Castellucci, Geoff's real-life wife and the group's Production Manager. If you watch in the first few minutes of the video, she's portraying a toymaker trying to design her 'Perfect Man,' and at the end she selects Geoff's head and brings him to life a la Pinocchio. (But she kindly assured us that she went on to complete her other four projects and they, too, turned out perfect!)

Did you notice the bridge in this that "Geoff wrote? Surely for Kathy. :) Kathy was making her perfectman. Who of course was/is Geoff. I think that some reactors are so busy soncentrating on the music that they miss the point of the video. You really do have to watch the whole thing but some are too busy vibing with eyes shut :)

She is the toymaker. In her journal she had how to build the perfect man. She made the costume and like in Pinocchio, has a real boy now.

Darn, I'm a little late. So incredible. Not sure if I have seen it, I could be confusing it with "The Headless Horseman".

Video concept: She's a toymaker, and she's making herself the perfect man. For Kathy, that's Geoff! Pretty sweet.
EDIT: Just read your pinned comment, expanding on the question. The only connection between JVKE's song and VP's video that I can see is that both portray a love story. Perhaps also in the lyrics how she has a certain amount of control over the emotion of the relationship, able to seemingly slow time in her 'golden hour', and here toymaker Kathy is most definitely in control, bringing together herself with her perfect man (by virtue of creating him). But truthfully, as with many of the great videos over the past few decades, their visual stories often bear little resemblance to their lyrical ones.

She's a doll maker and she was making "the perfect man!" She is Geoff's wife, btw!

Dollmaker. Pinocchio. The woman is Geoff's wife Kathy, making the "Perfect Man".
