If anyone is wondering why the Squid is purple in the picture it's because Squid are amazing at camouflaging themselves into backgrounds and without coloring the squid it just looked like i was holding my hand up. Cheers and enjoy the vid mates!

I would LOVE to eat fresh squid like this. We usually just go freshwater fishing, but we are in Florida. 40 min from the coast. My girlfriend caught a huge 14 in crappies today though so tacos tomorrow!

Green eyed squid are rare nowadays. It has thick meat and a big ink bag. Previously, we fished in Aug and September off Johor, Pulau Sibu, Malaysia for these squid. They love to hide in the sea grass. We dump the squid in a bucket. The fella shot ink right up the ceiling in the boat and everyone got hit with the ink. Be prepared to ruin your clothes.
Sometimes, the small ones are caught around the port areas of Singapore.
Fry it with onion, garlic, chillies, lemon grass, a dash of cumin and some tamarind juice. Let the ink bag burst to make a delightful black mess. Malays call it 'Sotong masak hitam.' Simple but awesome dish.
