Maria, thank you from the very bottom of my heart for this. Border lockdowns due to COVID-19 (in Australia) meant that my once 10 day trip to my partner in another state has turned into over a year living with him, unable to return to my parents. (We’ve recently booked flights to see them in late May after ones in January got cancelled due to another lockdown). I’m only fresh out of high school in ‘19, and not having my parents around has made a huge impact. I’m really missing them today and watching this video felt so motherly and safe. Due to my bad mental state I wash my hair only once a month if that, and I cried tears of pure relief knowing that someone else was caring for me and doing that massive task for me (it’s the length of my back). I’m also looking to donate it soon and having Maria virtually cut it for me feels like a sign that I need to bite the bullet. So thank you Maria, for always being there for myself and so many of us that never ask for help but need it so desperately ❤️
