But, what I mean is that while spirit evolution is different from what happens for the megas in Tamers; it is close enough that if Frontier never existed then the mechanic of a tamer card becoming a digimon card could still reasonably exist

What an amazing game! AncientGreymon broke 3 shields on turn 2, but Lucemon still pulled the game out. Also, using Analog Boy to continue your turn off AncientGreymon's deletion was great

Or am I missing some rule knowledge here? Edit: I see Takuya was played on the same turn. Is that why? You can attack if the tamer was not played on the same turn?
I really want to get into the Digimon TCG and make a EmperorGreymon/Susanoomon deck since I absolutely love Agunimon and Digimon Frontier! Unfortunately none of my friends are interested in playing card games or anything Digimon related :(

At 6:49 how was paddy able to play lucemon it's reduced cost skill only works in the hand and even with the reduced cost it's play cost is still higher then 3 and Cherubimon only lets you get lvl 3 digimon from the trash so I'm kinda confused
No there is no defenders (which are called 'Blockers' in the DCG) in the Purple side, & there was nothing preventing the Red Rookie from attacking, maybe it was just his controller's choice/preference, he didnt want to atk with it in fear of getting deleted (since he has 1K only) cuz he was saving it for other stuff..

Because since the tamer was played The same turn it was evolved the level 4 has summon sickness. Hybrids treat tamers as level 3 Digimon they can evolve on top of so if that tamer was played the same turn it cannot attack

The same reason you can't attack with a rookie you just played. Since the tamer was just played that turn, anything it evolves into will have summoning sickness and be unable to attack. That's also why the purple player killed Marcus Damon, because he knew of this mechanic.
Anyone have a link to the ruling with ancientgreymon and analog youth. Since the delete effect is at end of turn. So wouldn't turn pass and your opponent would be at 0 .

Due to the promo Agunimon.
If it uses the on-attack effect to warp into Ancient, then it self destructs at the end of the turn.
