Hi! She did a great job. I could tell she knew what she was doing the way she held those scissors lol. Once a stylist always a stylist. Your hair is beautiful and you are right healthy hair is what you want and it will grow and grow. Thanks for sharing!
I think curly and straight hair alike can hide damage. I also don't think that this is a lot of damage considering I haven't been to a salon for a trim since I started my channel in 2019. Some people go to the salon every 4 to 6 months for a trim and have to get 2 inches cut, so I was happy. Thanks for tuning in and sharing your thoughts.
Well yea.. when you hear those snaps from detangling and styling, that’s breakage so imagine all the strands that break due to our texture being so kinky
Good morning, Rae! You’re absolutely correct. Healthy Hair, Over Length! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 You can literally see the difference. Gorgeous healthy hair. 🥰 Thanks for sharing! ♥️
Great job and I’m glad you cut it off ironically I had to do the same thing just two days ago. I moved to a different state and haven’t been able to find a stylist so I cut it myself. My aunt used to be a stylist many years ago so I remembered how to do it from watching her cut other clients hair. It was about 2 inches I had to remove. I clarified my hair , conditioned and applied my styling products it looks great. I-got my curls back, a lot less frizz, and so I’m happy?.. this natural hair is certainly a journey but I love it…. I glad you choose Health over Length ….👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 God Bless and much success ❤️🙏🏾
Hi Rae! 😂😂😂 you’re so funny. “Let’s take it slow”. I know the feeling though. You did good though. Very brave. Your cousin was really good. Thanks for sharing your video ❤😊
I plan on visiting the salon this month myself. It’s time, I periodically trim my hair. It’s time and I’m good with that, definitely want healthy hair. Glad you were able to get a good trim. Can’t wait to see what styles you’ll rock 😊
Hi Rae Thanks for sharing and this is so crazy I have not had a professional trim since July 2021 and this Tuesday Election Day I will be getting one but in its curly state. Fingers crossed that my mini home trimming was enough and I just need a trim and not a cut 😂. I will update you on the condition of my ends and how much I need cut.
Great video, your hair looks great! It’s awesome to see you with those healthy ends. We’re in this together, I got 3 inches cut over the last couple of months and look forward to growing out my curls now that the damage is gone.
She she really got scissor happy. I was mad at first but the shape was better so I gave her a pass. She will never get near my hair with scissors again. 😂
I trim my hair when I feel it needs it and I usually do it myself. Now, that is not to say that my way is right, but it's right for me at this time. I would always tell someone to error on the side of caution and get professional trims, but how frequently depends on your hair and how well you take care of it.
21:21 Not you being afraid to cut your hair when normally you wouldn’t be 😩😩😩😂🤣. Jkjk. Your hair is lovely in all states (curly, straight, & blown out).
@@NaturalRaeRae Very true. When you make a mistake on your hair, it's on you. But when others do, you end up blaming yourself for their mistake. I totally get it.
I cut about 2 inches off of my hair last week, I ordered a electric straightening comb because I’m not really good with the flat iron and the brush chasing. 😅. I may record it, but I’m not sure.

Your cousin was handling those scissors.❤
I'm always so amazed how curly hair can hide so much damage ...TFS

lol. She said “It wasn’t worth the time.”😂😂
She's something else, but I love her. Thanks for watching.
Omg I’m glad you got it cut if you needed it. Healthy hair is what we want. You still have a good length of hair.
Yep, not mad at it. It'll grow back better than before. Thanks for tuning in.

Hi Kimberly! I got scared real quick😂 Thanks for tuning in.
Your hair came out amazing! I haven’t gotten a trim in years either and you’re definitely giving me the itch!
Thank you! A good trim is needed periodically for healthy hair. Thanks for tuning in.

The whining 😅😂😂😂😂😂
Girl, I cut some of the whining out 🤣🤣🤣 Couldn't believe I wanted to change my mind once she got there. 🤷🏽♀️😂
Hair looks so nice and healthy ❤
Thank you!

🤞🏽...but I'm sure it'll be fine.
Your cousin did a great job & didn’t cut much. Kudos to your cousin. Health over length any day. Tfs.

Thank you! Yes, now we can grow out our hair with healthy ends. Thanks for tuning in and sharing.
Those 2 inches will be back in no time 👍🏾.
Yep, as long as I don't keep cutting on it. You know I like snip at my hair at times.😂
Great video, your hair looks healthy!! I had to trim about 2 inches last month because I just don't go to the salon regularly, I learned my lesson :)
Thank you! Yep, I need to get professional trims more but I fool around and trim my own hair so I pay the price. Thanks for tuning in.
YOU: “Now that you’re doing this, don’t you miss it?”
YOUR COUSIN: “No!” 😂😂😂😪😩🤣
🤣🤣🤣
@@NaturalRaeRae You sounded so adorable when you asked her that.
Hi Rae 🥰💙.. great video your cousin did a great job!💙.. yes I agree health over length 😉.. you still have some nice hang time 🥰😉🤗
Thank you!
@ 🤗
You have gorgeous and healthy hair and your will grow back even healthier cousin did a great job❤
Thank you!
My sister cut 4 inches off my hair in July. I wanted a trim not a cut, but it's growing back.
People get scissor happy for sure sometimes. Did it need 4 inches cut? #healthoverlength
She she really got scissor happy. I was mad at first but the shape was better so I gave her a pass. She will never get near my hair with scissors again. 😂
When I’m trimming my daughter hair, she listened to the crunch of the scissors😂
It sounds loud and like so much is being cut off.😂
Love it. I literally cut about 2 inches a month. Every time I wash my hair. I GO CHOP. I am 55 so I want healthy not long.
Thanks for tuning in.
How often do u trim your hair? So it is possible to not get frequent trims?

You know I'm always cutting my hair, but when others do it, it is scary. People get scissor happy and you look up and have a big chop.😂
@@NaturalRaeRae Very true. When you make a mistake on your hair, it's on you. But when others do, you end up blaming yourself for their mistake. I totally get it.
24:24 😂😂

Go ahead and record it, why not?
Last comment because I really want to know what you do with all that hair at night I don’t know what to do with mine😅
I just put a bonnet on my curls, but this straight hair is another beast. I can't help you.
Try using a silk scarf (lays hair down and keeps it flat) and then covering that with a bonnet (snug fit to protect the ends)
@@JunandClyde thanks but I tried that and my ends still want to curl up and revert...stubborn.😂
