I can give a full detailed explanation on why people still do Ugandan Knuckles even to this day.
It does not matter how dead the meme may be, we still do it, simply because it's fun.
We don't care about how dead the meme is, we just simply get lots of enjoyment out of it. It makes us happy.
Everyone knows that we aren't really from Africa, it's just really fun to speak in the tribal accent. We aren't trying to make people believe that we sound like that in real life, it's just fun to speak like that.
Think about it. You found something that makes you happy, you love doing it. Would you give up your happiness just because it's no longer mainstream. I doubt it.
The point is, Ugandan Knuckles gives us a sense of enjoyment that you just don't get from choosing some generic anime avatar and just having boring conversations with random people. That's why we still do Ugandan Knuckles.
