    Fall is a time of harvest, preserving and storing to name a few things.
    Maybe scout around for cool stuff to can, dehydrate, cool store. Many houses and farm families keep personal gardens and may allow you to collect once they are done harvesting. Once I got tons of red beets and cantaloupe off an abandoned garden right beside the forest I was wandering around in.
    Oh and dying fish there means bear are around. Keep bear spray handy.

    Hi Flossy.. beautiful, true quote at the end!
    This past summer i learned that mice come into BB through either ny gas or brake pedal.

    • @FlossyRoxx
      @FlossyRoxx  9 месяцев назад +3

      @BohoBlueVan yes!! So I got out with a partner and torch and found exactly that!! My gas pedal had a hole big enough for a mouse but I’d never found it without a touch light! It’s full of steel wool now

    Hello Flossy
    Mice friggen little out door creatures. I use foam but I also use dryer sheets in my cupboards and draws.
    Give it a try.
    Peppermint oil too.
    The sheets have been the best. You must change them every few months. Hugs

    👋👍 Hiya Flossy . . .glad you got away and a break from filming.
    I am allllllll about this immense sun and morrre sun here on our shared coast. Eeee 8 days straight from Thurs to next Wednesday. Are you swimming or f.diving in the clearer sea now that it is late Fall. Ohhhh so glad you got to see Amanda & Frankee baby....I always keep an eye out hoping ONE day will be able to meet, but I know Frankee does not like being over petted etc. He is so within my heart of hearts. Are you thinking about rescuing a cat or dog as you discussed earlier this year.
    Beautiful edit with drone and mist. Ciao ciao for now.

    We support you and appreciate everything you do. I am stuck in a grief depression. I am just stuck. I sit here not doing much of anything. I have a great life, great husband, family and a few close friends. Just stuck. Trying to get out there and do more. I am looking forward to the winter and the quiet the layers or snow brings. We are here for you.

    Lovely footage. Loved the mist rising in the trees and the soft music complimented it so well. Thanks for sharing the quote at the end. It’s just what I needed to hear as well. And thanks for being genuine about your low thoughts. You have great skills, and I look forward to seeing your river exploration underwater.

    It's always a joy to see another video from you, it helps with my own depression, and sometimes gives me a little motivation to get something done (or at least 'started' ). I tried counselling once but it wasn't good. I have been talked into trying it again, so I'm on the waiting list. I'm at a point I think I can take external help. During the bad times I didn't want helping. This time of year, coming up to Xmas, is probably the worst time of year for me. Sending big hugs to you from over the ocean ❤

    • @FlossyRoxx
      @FlossyRoxx  9 месяцев назад

      @Electrowave I’m so glad and thankful for that. Counseling is a journey too and like dating not everyone is a good fit together. Good for you for trying again and I hope this is a better fit and you get support that will feel good for your heart. Thanks for being here with me

    The rain on the roof while you were chatting around 8:00 was so calming to me, and then you went into the wicked fall drone shot with with great soundtrack. Canada winter depression is real… we do what we can to remember it’s not forever. Stay strong! You can do this!

    • @FlossyRoxx
      @FlossyRoxx  9 месяцев назад +3

      @Alwaysbmoving aaawwwww I’m so glad you could hear it. It’s louder than I’d hope it would be when building the van but it really lulls me to sleep on long rainy nights! Sigh, I’ll feel better once the shortest day is here!!

    Mice gah! I had several this year in my van. Not sure where they come in, thinking near the cab or by the engine. Considering adopting a van cat 🐈…….

    • @FlossyRoxx
      @FlossyRoxx  9 месяцев назад +3

      @Sally Dansereau check around where your accelerator and brake cables come in! I just finally found a hole big enough for mice by shining a torch at night to try and find light leaks!

  • @MrThatnativeguy
    @MrThatnativeguy 9 месяцев назад +2

    How much did you pay for the van? Last I checked they are pretty up there

    • @FlossyRoxx
      @FlossyRoxx  9 месяцев назад +1

      @MrThatnativeguy they are! Mine is a 1999 as soon as they’re 2000 or newer they massively jump in price. I paid 9k which was still high for the engine work I’ve done since.

  • @bottomrung5777
    @bottomrung5777 9 месяцев назад +2

    IMHO the mice aren't "getting in".
    They are in there multiplying, making sleeping quarters insulated with your stuff they chewed and gathered. Oh and they can eat many things besides human food. Wiring is one thing they chew and eat.
    You need set traps asap. Deadly ones work but you can also buy or make live traps so the mice can be relocated peacefully.
    God bless!

    • @FlossyRoxx
      @FlossyRoxx  9 месяцев назад +4

      @Bottom Rung I have since found a hole around my ignition cable and filled it with steel wool. No mice since so wish me luck 🤞🤞🤞
