I agree with the comments about people who don't yield to the faster rider. On the guy hitting the brakes on the little rise, way back in the 80's and 90's doing that in a race at the bottom of a short punchy climb was a tactic to make the conga line following behind stall, while you get a gap on them as you ride away on clear trail.
Nope nope nope nope nope no the fuck not… we are not calling this a fail. Absolutely not. You showed up, you advocated for yourself, you recognized what your body and mind needed and THAT’S A WIN. This race was a damn win. Proud of you, as always.
I’m built for downhills - love those guys who won’t yield on the downs but get pissed when you don’t get off your bike for them on the ups…. Ah, well… it’s riding bikes and that what counts. Nice job Lo - awesome descending skills, keep the fun factor there else it becomes a chore
It is interesting that you talked about not enjoying the people around you. I was thinking during the video " what a bunch of rude pricks" walking on the riding line, not letting you pass and so on. Keep on keeping on. Cheers from Aussie.
Between the people and suck. Hard pass. I was going to do this race next year. Bought my entry. Then watched footage again and was like hell no. This race isn’t even fun. So put my pride and ego in check and walked away. Way better races out there!!
If your goal was to make content that inspired, entertained, and gave us a feeling of what this race was like for the non-pro's, then you 100% succeeded. Great stuff.
Wanted to let you know that you and Joe + Syd and Macky inspired me to race the 25 hours in Frog Hollow a few weeks ago. I had an amazing time and did better than I'd hoped (2nd solo singlespeed!!!!); I wouldn't have put myself out there without yall's encouragement and inspiration. I hope you can find the right goals and people that make your riding filled with joy because your night laps from that race were the yardstick of stoke I measured myself against. Give yourself plenty of grace, you 100% deserve it.
Love love love this! If you can - you should do 24 HOP it is one of the most smile inducing races there is!!! Headed back for our fifth year this year 🥰 Congrats on your HUGE accomplishment.
Nope, You did not Quit!!!!!!!!!! When you are sick, trying to do a stage race is the worst thing you can do for the body. Its not worth killing yourself to finish and then not wanting to see your bike for months. You did the right thing!!!! Look forward to seeing your next event.
You are an inspiration for many people to get out riding and showing how hard, easy and fun it can be. Don't let others put you off what you enjoy and failing just shows how hard you pushed yourself .
huge hug out to you girl, no embarrassment at all. you are awesome and what you you've accomplished and will continue to do is awesome. chin up and keep going for all of us....
you were sick! It happens. I am appalled at the footage from this race from you and others: for a race with one rule (don't be a jerk) I've never seen so many riders refusing to yield to faster riders! I love riding in Breck as I used to live there....but the footage from this race (from you and others) kills any desire to do the Breck Epic. The rider refusing to yield as you entered one of the flowiest sections of turns in Colorado killed the dream....not to mention Mr "Don't Be a Dick" deserves the Chode of the day award.
Ya. There were A LOT of complaints to the director of people being sucky. I don’t know how you fix it. I also love riding in Breck and this segment of the CT is my favorite. I’ll just go do it in my terms. Kenosha to Breck anyone!?!? ❤️❤️❤️
@@LoSendquestwith so many people racing with cameras I would just have a rule stating you’ll be removed from the race/results officially or banned for x amount of time from racing again if your caught having poor sportsmanship on the course. Hopefully the majority of people would consider that before being rude to other riders.
@@LoSendquest Races in places like Breck and Moab tend to be attract riders from distance. Many of these riders might be the faster rider passing others at home....but at 11,000 feet they need to adjust.
Wow, you were doing awesome, keep the spirits high, and enjoy the ride. Remember, even when racing, always ride at the speed of fun. Looking forward to seeing your next race.
You made the right call! I appreciate the insights you are providing in these videos! Quitting IS OK, especially in a bike race. Bike racing is a privilege, and you are really impressive at it (and I was glad you called out the assholery you dealt with during this one). Thanks for being real.
Lo, you should race downhill. Lightning! How frustrating it must've been to be behind the flock of dude's riding their brakes, yet refusing to yield... Most people couldn't get past day 1... Chin up
Life tests you in amazing and hard ways sometimes. You did more than most…more than me. You signed up to race to expose yourself to failure. Failures only make us stronger. You ROCK just remember that.
Thanks for sharing. I think of your videos often when I’m struggling up a climb. Always gives me that bit of extra motivation I need to keep going. Keep telling your story
No failure at all !! You did an incredible job even though you still have the rest of the virus that got you. 🤬 The most annoying part is seeing these bikers who don't let a woman pass on the trail. I stay here watching and asking these guys to get out of your way. You are amazing Lo !! Very happy that you posted a new video!
Racing is really hard at that level, Breck is one of the toughest mt bike races there is, so no shame. Everyone needs to have their gauge of pain and suffering to fun and accomplishment.
Definitely keep your chin up Lo. Every race ive ever been in, ive wanted to quit at some point. This sport is hard as hell and if you weren't having fun then why be out there is the way i look at it. Weather on a ride or in a race, if im not having fun then im outta there. You made the right call for you. Much respect!! You were right, those people you were racing with were ass hats. No place in this sport for that shit. Good luck in the next one and tell Joe we all said hi and that im trying to get fireball classified as an energy drink. 😂 👍💪👊
Nope, there is nothing to be ashamed of. Failing is just another learning experience. You are still one of the most badass and inspiring persons I know (through YT). I have a sticker on my bike. WWLD? (What would Lo do)
I can’t speak for the rest of your viewers, but I’m still inspired as fuck. To be sick and STILL passing all those jabronies like that?! You’re a badass! Also where did you get that rad top tube bag?

Team fireball!!! We need Joe to do a collab with them!
@LoSendquest Absolutely!! He could also have fireball in his CamelBak. Get CamelBak on board as well. Ah, I just love creative marketing. 😝
Hey Lo, if you want to have fun come out to Iceman. That race is super fun!
Tell me everything … Iceman makes me think it’s cold tho!!! 🥶🥶🥶

A local person in Durango made it!!!
Lo, if you haven't already been out to Philly, and you want to ride mountain bikes while you're here, I'd be happy to show you our local trails.
I have only done Philly work adventure. I need to pack a kit next time I head that way! Would love to play bikes
Say hello to my home state of Arizona, for me!
Will see your home state in February!
@@LoSendquest sooner than me. I'm jealous. LOL!
