Thanks!! My clip wasn't working at first but after leaving it in, it chirped a few more times and then finally stopped! Hallelujah! Wish I could go back to sleep.
Thank you! I’m so glad I waited till the end of the video. I encountered the same problem-followed the device instructions perfectly and the thing kept beeping. Thank you for helping to save my sanity (by sharing that it was the device and not our instruction-following skills and helping to finally cease that incessant chirp). Cute dog.
It’s 5am and I’m watching this video because my alarm is chirping. There is a button on the circle thing to silence it. A tiny little Silence comes on under the left of end. In case you’re really lazy like me and don’t want to have to go looking for an exact knife.
thanks miss K.... 5 years is ok.. a battery rarely lasts that long.. they will send you a free one of you can give them the date and info but 5 years of peace of mind is worth it
Thanks very much. My power has been off almost 24 hours. Started hearing that beeping. Thought it was an indication of power trying to come back on. Found the problem. This thing. Clip did not work. Wouldn't go all the way in. Tried many times. Went to best light spot in house, managed to get it in better, BUT, it doesn’t really sit securely and can come back out. So, took a thin plier (actually a hemostat) and used to go under the plastic block and pull it back to the left and the tiny button popped up and turned it off. Appreciate your video as it alerted me to know that it could get turned off one way or another. Listening to it beep for a few hours made me crazy to turn it off!
Thank you. Mine died this morning. I thought it was my smoke detector but it wasn't. I had the same problem and was able to stop the chirping with my box cutter.
Thank you so much for your video! This went off at 5am. You gave perfect instructions and mine stopped beeping right away when I stuck the pin in! Sorry yours was a little more stubborn :-(
thank you for making this video, we have 2 that’s been going off like this around 3AM and thought the batteries need changing when oops still beeping, and now that I found this video now I know, thanks man 🥲
7 years on mine and it says end and beeping. I noticed the clip doesn't work either. I set it outside on the porch and it seems to have reset itself. I know I have no CO as all my windows have been opened all day for drawing cool air in. I really only like it for the thermometer on it
@@LEARNINGCHORDS actually I forgot to tell you. But I actually collect smoke alarms. I have 13 in my collection right now. And one of them is on low batteries. I always just sit there and listen to it. Because I absolutely love that low battery chirp. I even love to test them. The cool part about mine is some of them talk some of them don’t. Most of my alarms interconnect. But two or three of them do not.
@@LEARNINGCHORDS I do like burps too. Also could you clarify to me at the end of the video when you gave the dog her toy what was that thing saying? Like what did that fish say I can kind of understand it but I couldn’t really tell what it said.
If yours is less than 10 years old, FirstAlert will replace it under warranty. As of 3/2023 they charge you $6.50 for shipping. Mine is dated 2019 and woke me up early on a Saturday morning.
why does my alarm randomly blink green next to the “move to fresh air” spot but no beep? and it’s inconsistent. it doesn’t always do it but it’s stressing me out. i didn’t buy it so i don’t have instruction manual
Holy cow, this is definitely a terrible design for so many reasons. But I used some needle nose pliers to turn it off and it seems to have stopped beeping, so...yay?

Hey nice video. I don’t know why but I love it when alarms chirp. I don’t know why I just do.
I used to know a woman that loved when I burped.. go figure

The clip failed here as well. Thanks for video... 11:30 pm feels like 5 am!

Thanks so much. My poor dogs have stopped trembling.I didn't know what the heck was going on.👍 Gefilte fish for dogs.😂

Thanks for the help! I ended up using a toothpick to flip the switch
smart girl
Yep! Middle of the night...your video helped me 100%

not sure... the green light means air is clean and item is working
they cost about 20 bucks or you can find the manual online free
How do you get it off the wall?
I recommend you replace it with a first alert co410
I used tweezers pinched it and slid it over thanks so much
Holy cow, this is definitely a terrible design for so many reasons. But I used some needle nose pliers to turn it off and it seems to have stopped beeping, so...yay?
you are a genius then gookin :)
Good video, but this is a CO detector, not a CO2 detector.
CO co2 co3 co10 they all have C
@@LEARNINGCHORDS yes, they definitely all have C in them. But I'd rather breathe CO2 than CO...
bebebebebeep!
Totally annoyed in the middle of the night!
yes
Thanks!
