Unfortunately I've never actually played Kensi (don't have a PC that I think could run it) but I love watching Kensi content. Especially the 2-3 hour long videos.
This was so entertaining. It's exactly the content I wanted to see about Kenshi, the mix of gameplay, cameras and storytelling, really nice PD: You can press F7 to hide the HUD
@gigashart911 oh my sweet summer child... I was there for "relax, enjoy death", I was there for the mammoth beak things, name almost everything, I was there. The very week this game left steam greenlight into early access before early access was officially a thing, I was there.
This is honestly nice to see cause it reminds me of my first character, confused excited and sad at the same time. Its a great game. Wait until you travel more and see some of the other crazy things in the game. (Also added note theres freecam if you press ":" on the keyboard.)
Genuily envious, My first time with kenshi came after watching hours of videos in it but I still grasped almost no basics. My pawns were getting stuck on geometry before I could even get them killed. Now playing kenshi is a reflex I can multi task while I’m playing even. God they really don’t make them like this huh? Much hype for the sequel
i had seen the torsolo vids. so yea i too knew overal aspectes of the game. that said about same time, within few days of seeing that video, the game went onsale for 5 dollars.... i was like whelp no more videos. lets just play. other than i knew to mine, and "Somewhere" nearby was squin and a free recruit. i knew basically nothing. and yea was frustrating and yet fun.

Two extremely accurate things in this video: how the average UK tourist behaves on holiday in France 1:25 and possibly the most common input mistake in the game that even vets still make on occasion resulting in what probably causes a lot of people to drop it 11:21 As someone who knows a bit about the game I was actually shouting at the screen for you to just go ahead and level strength, athletics (run speed), stealth, and lock picking if you were serious about escaping... and only when it was over did I realize that what you did was "rational."

yes the 1 game, (that i know of) that the character isnt the main story. you can be enslaved, killed at any point in the game. no revives no roll backs lol. obviously we have saves.. but yea. Rimworld is close to this game but same time just not. the world, exploration, story is again 2nd to none with kenshi. Edit: loved the video, i hope you play more. imo this is the Best game ever made. it is buggy. sadly its not perfect. mods do help fix or workaround the few things it lacks. but sob even base game its amazing experience.
You coulda got away from mines the 1st time if you used the good ole R trick when running. Wait for them to get close press R then continue to run and repeat. This won't get rid of the guards but will force them to keep getting into the combat movespeed and will let you gain some distance

I found playing kenshi feels like willingly having your head slammed by a door which makes me slightly concerned I enjoyed it so much

My favourite genre of game. The only other game I’ve found with a similar vibe is dwarf fortress
