You know what it would be cool @senpai? Secondary small monitor to have it vertically next to your main monitor just to read chats or have streaming apps at glance
the problem with only having output mix is the exact reason i got the GoXLR, back when i used to livestream, I could have 1 mix to stream, 1 mix to my team mates and 1 mix going to my headset. I dont stream anymore due to IRL commitments, but I still enjoy using the GoXLR to control my audio such as music, discord, game audio and such. Might be pretty expensive for someone starting out, but i loved it ever since i bought it with my first twitch payout! :)
I'd love to see a batch of budget options. I think there is a big difference between what a Professional streamer might need, and what a Hobbiest/entry level streamer might need. You know that streamer who has a extremely small audience, and has only enough time to start a stream maybe once or twice a week. To that streamer spending 100$, or 200$ on ALL of your stream gear, thats right a total budget of 100-200$, thats sometimes hard to justify. Sure you could use a USB mic and call it a day, OR you could could get a Stream kit from a someone like Maono or Fifine and really have the majority of the basics covered.
I'd love to see more budget stuff, but I fear it might dilute the high quality generally applicable videos on this channel. I'd be nice to have a secondary channel for review stuff that isn't too ground-breaking, game changing or highly anticipated. Stuff like the GoXLR 2 will probably still come here, but each budget mixer that you've given a week can be on the other channel, or more expensive gear that doesn't actually change much or even really silly experiments. Like, imagine streaming with a Midas MR 12. It's also a great place to cover generally less interesting gear like streaming lights or less streaming-adjacent stuff like guitar gear. Then we can have a yearly or so video on the main channel with all the surprisingly cool gear from the other channel.
It's $30 and you could use a free piece of software like VoiceMeeter Potato to split up those different sound channels. That's probably a tad bit more complicated then just using built in software from a GoXLR... but hey it's $30.
😂 yes you can, thats $30 you could have save towards the more expensive but thing that actually has amazing software support or is just straight up good hardware. People buying those knockoff streamdecks because they advertise BarRaiders Spotify plugin and other plugins he's made yet they all* don't work on it as they stole the code so the plugin doesn't run correctly. 😂
I started out with a Maono Mic/Mixer combo a few years back, still have it, and it was a good first start but I did switch quickly to GoXLR. It wasn't bad, I just felt like I needed to take things a little more seriously.
Regarding the software download. Probably not intended but you can download without making an account. If you click on the picture or app name it will just take you to the download page but if you click the download button it will prompt for a login.
I would love to see a showdown of some budget stream gear! I'm still using my Blue Yeti classic that I bought in 2016, and I've wanted to switch to XLR for a while now.
I just won this and their pd200x mic off a instagram competition but I already run a rode procaster and go xlr not sure if whether to sell it on or just give it to someone
i kinda want to see a round up of the offbrand mixers. a lot of them seem to be cookie cutter, but there is a possibility there is a diamond in the rough there
$23.80 as of 12/22 w/ a discount coupon. I'd like to see the comparison of their lineup bc there are several options. I'd be interested to see it compared to the other units just above it at full price. The big knob & little need to be switched at a minimum though. I KNOW I'd be hitting that on accident way to often lol.
As someone who got an xlr mic for zoom/teams meetings, the G1 neo is the best of the 2. I got the C2 Neo at first then refunded it because I had to recharge the unit every 3-4hours. So I got the G1 neo instead. The C2 neo is clearly made to be portable and the G1 for home/office use since it's plug and play and set and forget. I don't need more really. I don't mind having only 1 input etc. Also on maono's website the G1 and C2 are the same price but on amazon(at least in canada) someone is price gouging the G1 to like 200$. So I ordered directly from them.
harris will you ever make a video over the dji osmo pocket 3, im thinkin about getting one for a good all round beginner camera/webcam and wanted an opinion i know i can trust
For streamers a gain knob on the front should be left alone. For us musicians it's perfect I use a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8-3G having the Gain Knob on the front instead of the top is sweet & also those dual headphone jacks Super Sweet.
this is a Question i have had for a long time. but i would love a video or just an explaintion somewhere. from you and some of the best ways to merge Beacon, Elegato, Rode, or any other Audio device to try and create what for that person is there audio setup. this idea came about after i watched stuff about beacon and how i would love some of there stuff but since i mainly own Elegato devices i dont want to just get rid of my wave 3 mic and the stuf up i currently have to swap to beacon
Good day there Caleb! When it comes to audio devices in the creator/streamer space, many of them are built upon and within their own ecosystem. While you can mix and match audio hardware no problem, the different software environments are where things get tricky. For example, doing your audio processing for vocals on a Beacn Studio is great, but if you have your headphones plugged into a WaveXLR and you try and send audio from Beacn to Elgato, it will work, but it might take 30-50ms to get there, or cause other audio sync and timing issues. Every new device is a new place your audio has to travel, and with travel comes latency. We have seen a few people that mix and match different audio devices together, but the setups are often finicky and convoluted. It's usually best to build within an ecosystem, you'll have a better time. Hope that helps!
@Senpai thanks for the info. This does help a lot, and the reason why I asked the question is because I wanted something like the rodecaster to physically control the audio form wave software. But again thank you for this information. Now I just have to hope Elegato will release something similar to the Rodecaster 2
Are there any recommendations for gear like this that actually? This is cool but it has too many deal breakers to the point Id only use this if someone gave it to me. A budget GoXLR would be cool. I see plenty of options but I don't want to buy something like this and learn its equally garbo
Sounds like it was designed by a committee. That said, for someone streaming a game on their own, it could be good. I think you should not expect to use all its features. Or even most of them. Which, for $30, it's probably a bargain.
Since this device has direct monitoring, you can hear your own voice in your headphones when they are plugged into the device. Any effects or processing that's applied, is also applied to what you're hearing.
It's okay to not recommend something even if it's $30. There is a point where unless something is free, it's really not worth the hassle to troubleshoot it.
Got it recently (on sale) and yes, the only downside (which seemingly fixed itself) was the unify software (although they have an alternative which I haven't tried). If you see complaints about a hiss in your headphones (not found when recording), that's dependent on both your microphone gain and headphone output. I've only found the hiss when they're both above 75% (on the dials) but with my current mic (AT2020 XLR), I haven't needed half the gain it can provide and so I have the headphone output at 100% without any hissing. Also, don't have any other XLR mics so I can't say whether or not the phantom power (which my mic requires) effects the potential hiss.
Harris, anytime you talk about audio devices, I think "how long before he mentions submixes?" LOL Submixes are good, don't get me wrong, but you talk about them so much.
What's your favorite budget gear that you want me to check out?
bro looking slim lfg .... also i just got their G1 Neo. do you have that to compare?
Ngl the fifine t669b is my fav budget mic it’s only 50 bucks. Especially when I tend to break a lot while gaming
Have you thought about the ultra budget audio interface roundup? Would have helped me tons a couple years ago
@@kozygeorg dude honestly though. I had to learn this stuff via other sources
You know what it would be cool @senpai? Secondary small monitor to have it vertically next to your main monitor just to read chats or have streaming apps at glance
May I say... WE ALWAYS WANT TO SEE BUDGE GEAR THAT WORKS! some of us even if we can afford it, gets hard to justify. So, this content is very needed!
I want to see budget vs budget mixers tbh
Absolutely!
100% agreed
Same here

Fifine SC3 is what I would go for. IT's a great interface and one of the devices I really started with. Now I have a Beacn Studio.
4:35 it will duck the background music. Not duck the microphone....
budget streaming gear showdown would be extremely helpful!
If it 's $30, you can't really complain!
😂 yes you can, thats $30 you could have save towards the more expensive but thing that actually has amazing software support or is just straight up good hardware.

I would love to see a showdown of some budget stream gear! I'm still using my Blue Yeti classic that I bought in 2016, and I've wanted to switch to XLR for a while now.
I just bought the slightly newer one. Can you please do a review on it? I have no idea how to use it.
I just won this and their pd200x mic off a instagram competition but I already run a rode procaster and go xlr not sure if whether to sell it on or just give it to someone
Thanks Harris you convinced me to get a GoXLR and I love it my new GoXLR is so much better than the Bridge Cast X I had till three months ago
i did look into this one while looking for a new interface during sales, but i think i am going to settle for the Vocaster one to go with my shure mv7
Definetly need a budget gear showcase
i kinda want to see a round up of the offbrand mixers. a lot of them seem to be cookie cutter, but there is a possibility there is a diamond in the rough there
I have this, and yes, it's good if you're just starting. Not sure if I can change the phone buttons tho.
Already have the Roland Bridge Cast one but can you do the HyperX Audio Mixer? Can’t find any info on it and it’s the same price as the Roland
$23.80 as of 12/22 w/ a discount coupon. I'd like to see the comparison of their lineup bc there are several options. 100% would want to see that showdown
mah boi hitting the gym regulary! Kudos to you!

As far as budget mixers go, this already looks better than that Finite trash mixer I tried out.
budget mixer showdown would be cool
i would love a Budget gear list as someone who cant buy some of the Elgato stuff or good mixers that would be good for me
Got the focusrite vocaster one and a streamdeck +. I got the maono pd400x mic which is awesome, but i hit pass on this one
harris will you ever make a video over the dji osmo pocket 3, im thinkin about getting one for a good all round beginner camera/webcam and wanted an opinion i know i can trust
I got this one as well. Gifted it….the. Ended up buying another one for reaction videos. It’s a banger for that
Do you think you could do a video on the volt 1 interface soon? I like your tutorials but I would like to know your thoughts on that interface.
For streamers a gain knob on the front should be left alone.
For us musicians it's perfect I use a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8-3G having the Gain Knob on the front instead of the top is sweet & also those dual headphone jacks Super Sweet.
Cheers for the content. 🍎
Not being expensive shouldn't be the unique feature worth mentioning.
When there are so many useful alternatives.
*insert "well, we're weaiting" happy gilmore gif here*
list em!
Budget gear showdown please!

I am going to order the fifine mixer and mic hopefully those are decent we’ll see!
From my experience of using Maono. Pitch preset or not is the bad thing of Maono
Yes! I just bought one but, I'm definitely inrested
I have the Maonocaster. I love it!
Are there any recommendations for gear like this that actually? This is cool but it has too many deal breakers to the point Id only use this if someone gave it to me. A budget GoXLR would be cool. I see plenty of options but I don't want to buy something like this and learn its equally garbo
I think this a good sign that we should dig into a few more devices in the low to mid range :)
I bought it, and it buzzed like mad on the headphone out lol.
Sounds like it was designed by a committee. That said, for someone streaming a game on their own, it could be good. I think you should not expect to use all its features. Or even most of them. Which, for $30, it's probably a bargain.
We need you to make one of these things.
I am all for budget gear
It is sometimes nice to see hardware for >1000€ but i am never gonna buy that
BUT i bought the streamdeck neo for example
you should give a test of Maono PS22 Lite i tested was good budget audio interface hope to see your videos soon
what about the G1 Neo?
Budget showdown is always more interesting
Fifine Gaming Audio Mixer-SC3 vs MAONOCASTER G1 NEO would be cool to see
How to know which effect is used in different voice
Since this device has direct monitoring, you can hear your own voice in your headphones when they are plugged into the device. Any effects or processing that's applied, is also applied to what you're hearing.
Budget gear is needed, we need the more expensive brands to sweat and consider lowering their prices.
It's okay to not recommend something even if it's $30. There is a point where unless something is free, it's really not worth the hassle to troubleshoot it.
budget hype!
How much did you say this costs again?
Indeed. Official site it's X2 what he mentioned.
Budget gear review video
Yes budget geat.
Yep more budget mixers videos.
the Focusrite Vocaster One can be found for $40-60. A great purchase in this price imo
For the Price I think its a better than Fair deal and yes I get Your Point lol
Still no M-Game RGBDual review????
PLEASEE DO THE SHOWDOWN
Not sure you are selling us on it when the best thing about it is the price...and seemingly the only pro in a list of cons.
Technically it’s not 30$ but yeah. Lol
the latency is BRUTAL... if you like to wear headphones....this ain't it lol
🔥🔥🔥
But the most important question you d it didn't answer. How much is this device?
Random emote for engagement.
Feels illegal being this early
yes
I like Fifine products
😅 Engagement!!
any updates on streamer X by rode? Is it good now?
Got it recently (on sale) and yes, the only downside (which seemingly fixed itself) was the unify software (although they have an alternative which I haven't tried).

Harris, anytime you talk about audio devices, I think "how long before he mentions submixes?" LOL
Submixes are good, don't get me wrong, but you talk about them so much.
Submixing is very, very important. Hence, the repetition.
