I am a statistician and a data scientist myself. This could be very useful to learn, but I don't think that can turn a layman into a professional data scientist. Real-quality data science entails much more knowledge, pathways, and so on. BUT see a lot of potential to learn data science and a good way to speed up the work of a professional.
That is so well said. It is a massive streamlining and productivity increasing tool for actual professionals even people learning data analytics but it won’t do you any good if you nothing about what analytics is at the first place. Pretty powerful, but also potentially dangerous and misleading stuff. Asking ChatGPT to analyze your data without any information about the underlying data generating mechanism could easily lead to really bad decisions, even if GPT does a perfect job of analyzing the patterns and relationships in your data. While cool, I do not recommend anyone do this for more than toy problems or for datasets not generated through conducting a randomized clinical trial with little to 0 measurement error. Unfortunately this is nearly impossible to achieve in practice.

The video provides a comprehensive guide on using ChatGPT for data analysis, outlining the steps to activate the Advanced Data Analysis feature, enable custom instructions, and upload data sets for analysis. Here's a breakdown of the key points covered: 1. **Activating Data Analysis Feature:** Users are shown how to activate the Advanced Data Analysis feature within ChatGPT by accessing the settings and enabling the relevant options. 2. **Activating Custom Instructions:** Custom instructions are highlighted as optional but recommended for better responses. Users are guided through setting up custom instructions tailored to their specific data analysis needs, such as adopting a data scientist persona. 3. **File Format Availability:** The video explains the various file formats supported for data analysis within ChatGPT, including text files, programming source files, office documents, PDFs, images, data files, audio files, and archive files. 4. **Cleaning Your Data with ChatGPT:** Step-by-step instructions are provided on how to clean and format data sets using ChatGPT. Users are shown how to upload a data set, prompt ChatGPT to clean the data, and utilize custom instructions for tailored responses. The process involves identifying the data and its goals, requesting data cleaning, and reviewing the results. 5. **Analyzing Your Data with ChatGPT:** The video demonstrates how to analyze cleaned data sets using ChatGPT's exploratory data analysis (EDA) capabilities. Users are encouraged to ask questions about the data to uncover trends, outliers, and insights. The video showcases ChatGPT's ability to generate visualizations, descriptive statistics, and data summaries to aid in data analysis. 6. **Conclusion and Call to Action:** The video concludes with a summary of the steps covered and encourages viewers to like, subscribe, and explore further resources for learning ChatGPT, including custom personas and courses available for purchase. Overall, the video provides a thorough guide for leveraging ChatGPT as a powerful tool for data analysis, from data cleaning to exploratory analysis, with practical examples and step-by-step instructions.
Maybe the example used in this video was a bit too simplistic, so far it looks very much like those automated features that the early days of Qlik and Tableau used to offer.
Data upload doesn't seem to be supported anymore. I asked ChatGPT how to upload data and I got this: As of my last update, directly uploading raw data (like CSV files, databases, etc.) into ChatGPT-4 for analysis isn't possible due to privacy and security considerations. However, you can share data with the model in a few different ways: I am actually uploading data sets right from the chat window.
You don't need to know EDA, you don't need to know feature engineering, and you certainly don't need to know pair plots. You also don't need to pretend to work with data.
@@ai-foundations hmm your focus is to only earn money not to teach people via your video. I feel change your video tagline from "Become a Data Analyst using ChatGPT..." to "Paid Course to become Data Analyst. Don't waste time if you can't buy it."
I can assure you that the data analysis feature of gpt is very incompatible. For small data sets, he might do ok. But for you to rely on gpt and then think you are a data scientist, I hope you won’t be responsible for analyzing data in a big company. The problem with most of you, thinking that this gpt suddenly makes you a pro in coding or analytics makes me very worried. There has been a benchmark on intermediate problemsolving, and the succes rate was about 5%. So good luck blindly trusting him.
The role of a data analyst (DA) and a data scientist (DS) are quite different. ChatGPT will do well as a DA but not so much as a DS. I guess mixing up this 2 distinct fields is causing confusion.
I was able to get chat GPT to generate a random set of 5 naturals, and then calculate the descriptive stats on them pretty easily. Remember GIGO related to chat GPT applies: garbage in garbage out... Gotta be really specific with what you prompt it and I can then check the answer by regenerating the prompt and it seemed fine. It is often helpful to know the right questions or prompts to ask chatGPT.

Overall, the video provides a thorough guide for leveraging ChatGPT as a powerful tool for data analysis, from data cleaning to exploratory analysis, with practical examples and step-by-step instructions.
Can’t we just ask chat gpt for personas? Trying to sell them is hilarious!!!
Maybe the example used in this video was a bit too simplistic, so far it looks very much like those automated features that the early days of Qlik and Tableau used to offer.
Data upload doesn't seem to be supported anymore. I asked ChatGPT how to upload data and I got this:
As of my last update, directly uploading raw data (like CSV files, databases, etc.) into ChatGPT-4 for analysis isn't possible due to privacy and security considerations. However, you can share data with the model in a few different ways:
I am actually uploading data sets right from the chat window.
It doesn't clean and format the date for me, just give me steps how to do it myself.
Why am i doing a masters in data science
me as well 🤔😬
You don't have to pay 40 dollars for these personas. Just ask ChatGPT to create its own instructions 😂😂
Is there any alternative for gpt premium 😅 im from india any platforms Please please lemme know people in comment section
broooooooo😮🎉
40$ for Personas Database 😂😂😂 nicely done my friend..good luck to find that fool who give you 40$
200+ love it so far :)

Don't hate the playa...
How would you go about solving this kind of komplex promt?
Learn to spell. Or have GPT write for you.@@capfever
You don't need to know EDA, you don't need to know feature engineering, and you certainly don't need to know pair plots.
You also don't need to pretend to work with data.
Cool
As a data analyst, don't do this. This is not good. Your job hired you, not Chat.
👍👍👍
Some lost their job overnight 😅😅😅
he's here for selling his courses and database personas, not to tell you the secret of data analyst
A little bit of both. I wouldn’t be selling products unless I genuinely knew that they helped people though.
@@ai-foundations hmm your focus is to only earn money not to teach people via your video. I feel change your video tagline from "Become a Data Analyst using ChatGPT..." to "Paid Course to become Data Analyst. Don't waste time if you can't buy it."
Can you really get a job with it?
@@abiolasamuel8092 No. I am an analyst and it can't do any part of my job meaningfully.
In every other video, you are talking (promoting) your custom instructions 😢😢. I'm bored to see it, though.
$40 for the personas you generated using ChatGPT? Lol
Haha, what a scam. Chatgpt can't even calculate the mean of 5 numbers correctly, what makes you think it can do data analysis.
Thanks
Awesome
