Florida Panthers win Cup in game 7! Euro Cup, Max and Scottie win as usual, UFC Saudi & 303 preview

- We conducted this episode the minute after the Florida Panthers hoisted their franchises first ever Stanley Cup! They won in game 7 over the Edmonton Oilers after blowing a three games to nine lead.
With the NHL season coming to a close now the off season starts with the Awards night and finishes the week with the NHL Draft held at the Sphere in Vegas.
The NBA will also hold their draft this week on Wednesday and Thursday. The free agency is just around the corner and the player movement should be significant as usual.
The CONCACAF and Euro Cup around running at the same time and the football action is incredible and fun to watch.
Max Verstappen won the F1 Race (as usual) at the Spanish Grand Prix. The PGA tour was won by Scottie Scheffler(as usual) at the Travelers. Both guys are becoming the two surest bets in sports.
The UFC held their first ever fight card in the country of Saudi Arabia and it went pretty well. We previewed the UFC 303 card that is part of International fight week in Vegas. It should be a great week and night of fights.

Glad you enjoyed it! Their run was nice to watch for most of Canada. Sometimes over the years once all the Canadian teams get eliminated the viewership drops right off and hockey suffers. This year the attention really amped up and stayed high for their entire run.

The Panthers cup win is sweet redemption after last years heartbreak.
It is very impressive and definitely incredibly sweet eedemption after losing in heartbreaking fashion last year. That victory was so hard to achieve and you have to give them a lot of credit for making it happen.
The world of soccer is sure fun to follow at the moment. The Euros have been great and the Copa America has been exciting with Canada in the mix.

The Euro soccer has been fantastic especially that Italy comeback draw against Croatia!
What a gane that was. You have to feel bad for Croatia but what a dramatic late goal for Italy to keep their dream of a repeat alive.
Let's hope the Canucks can get most of their team signed and back. That trade yesterday was obviously to free up cap space for something big.
You sure got me thinking about the possibility of a basketball Saudi super league. It seems very possible and not very far-fetched.
That was an interesting point on how hockey should look to more timeouts to try and get more ice time for the stars. I say why not?

That will be strange and a bit upsetting to see the NBA getting weakened if they are attacked.
I am with you on how annoying it is that many Americans think that they are better at hockey than Canadians. It still is Canada then a step down to the rest of the world. In the NHL there are nearly 500 Canadians and roughly 300 Americans.
It is nice to hear from people that know the truth and think the same way.

Yes it would have been probably a bit more fun and interesting with Conor but get used to less and less fights for him as he transitions away feom the sport. Lets enjoy the great card and all the fun festivities that International fight week brings.
France got the top pick again in the draft. In fact 3 of the top 6 and the 25th pick all come from that country. Big credit to Tony Parker. The takeover is happening!!

Don't you find it boring when the winner every week in F1 is Max and in the PGA its Scottie? I sure am tired of it.
You can look at it that way if you like and we understand. However we are into the power of positive thinking. The positive is that dominant champions stand out and move the needle when it comes to popularity and attention. In golf it went from Byron Nelson to Sam Snead to Arnold Palmer to Jack Nicklaus and then Tiger Woods eras and it helped golf gain massive popularity. F1 has had such a huge increase in global attention and popularity that can be attributed to dominat champions and probably Netflix!

Conor McDavid deserved the MVP but he should have dragged his team to victory. It is a bit of a blackmark
Does Wayne Gretzky have blackmarks on his career? How about Mario Lemieux? Sidney Crosby? Alex Ovechkin? Etc etc etc. It just came out that he was injured as well as a bunch of his teammates were as well. Give him a break and they are no where near the cup if he wasn't there.
Scheffler is no Tiger and the comparisons are a joke. With the watered down PGA Tiger could have probably won 15 tourneys a year or more.
The Whitecaps should be boycotted and sold to someone that will treat the fans and market better.
