This song is incredible, always loved Asking Alexandria and for anyone objectively saying this isn’t a good song, they just don’t like the direction. It’s insane to me that people will say things like “oh that’s just generic dad rock” whenever a metalcore band goes mainstream. Whether you like the direction or not is entirely up to you, but this is far from generic. Danny’s vocals are, in my opinion, top 5 in the rock/metal genre right now! He makes it seem effortless
Did some research and it sounds like there is a correlation between thick necks and vocal tone. Wider necks likely have thicker vocal cords and more room for airflow which makes a deeper and more powerful voice. Also strong neck muscles are important for strong vocal control and Danny has had a lot of practice to strengthen these muscles!
Personally I feel like the time period you started listening to Asking Alexandria makes a difference. If you don’t know what they started out as and don’t have anything to compare it to, you’d probably be pretty happy and content with this. For me growing up on the Final Episode, this isn’t bad but definitely not my flavor.
they keep getting more and more popular among metal & non-metal audiences which is a huge W for them. and as i get older, i tend to like this style of the band, y'know. like i listened to the band religiously back in their metalcore days so it goes without saying their older albums are all time classics at this point but i'd say The Black is too much of a cookie cutter of an album so i lost interest for a bit until Danny came back and it's been a fun ride so far, their last 3 albums. feels like the band grows up & matures the same time i do
2 things. Who is your preferred singer? Dustin Kensrue or Danny Worsnop? Also... Have you listened to an old banger - Like A Storm - "Love the way you hate me"?
I have these lovely sexy British men tattooed on me, I love this band with all my heart, but I won’t lie…. I miss the heavy stuff. I know band evolve and grow, but fuck I miss the heavy “in your face” “ fuck you all” days. Love em still but god damn I want that ICONIC Danny scream. That grit got me hard
I’ve never seen a band fall off a Cliff quite like Asking Alexandria. Worst thing to ever happen to them was Danny coming back. At least with Denis they sounded like they were supposed to sound and were good at it
"Fall off a cliff"? They've only gotten more popular since their departure from Metalcore. They've definitely not fallen off just because you don't like the music they make anymore. Even when they were Metalcore, they weren't very good at it anyway. The only people who liked them were angsty teens. And the only people who still think their old music was good, are people who are high on the nostalgia drug.
this album is extremely underated. The song "youve made it this far" makes me cry everytime i hear it
Danny’s voice is one of the best in the game . I love his voice so much .
This song has such a huge chorus. Absolutely incredible. Danny has such a good voice for this style of music

Oh nice work!
Dustin from Thrice also has a somewhat thick neck.
Such a great track. The whole album was so surprisingly good also, compared to the previous one which didn't sound like them at all imo
Devil black veil brides is a must

I grew up on old Asking, love the new stuff though their evolution has been great to me.

Definitely Dustin for Johnny
So I loved the old school AA, I still do.
However recently I've not been partial to them. Then they dropped this, and honestly it's a fuckin' banger.

Dam boi dat nekk thicc!
Phil Anselmo also has a thick neck!
You guys should 100% react to some older Asking Alexandria especially their first 2 albums. Dannys voice was unGodly back then.
We don’t react to old stuff because we’ve heard most of it
I’m getting some crossfade vibes…
Morning gents, In Gloom - Obliterate reaction would be sweet. Beyond chunky
Guys should check Adema - Ready To Die !!!! Great band that came back after years and great sound. Great Vocals and brother to Jonathan Davis!!

@@shona5512 dude from death to destiny is the best mixed metalcore-rock album that ever existed
@@shona5512 honestly I’d take anything they made in their first 4 albums over this dad rock any day of the week.
This is not a good sound at all.
@@markcrane1984 Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one and no one wants to see yours.
