I think Gabriel had the stronger performance here, and as you said, he was just singing alone in an empty room !! Mariah was too breathy in the earlier part of the song, where Gabriels voice came across as fuller, and with some more interesting twists to this classic song. His whistles were just a bit better than her`s too, incredible for a guy. Mariah gets a 9 here to Gabriels 10.
