I fell like your review is quite biased with the 9's and 10's ratings maybe cos you are an asske fan which i understand but the album wasn't all that if you rate this that highly, how would you rate his previous albums then MMWTV and Work of Art which are reasonably better projects?
@@ikwukakelvin7046 the 2 previous albums are not widely inclusive when it comes to broader audience, he's exposed now through his tours and feel he should create a broader album that can accommodate better, you can hear him speaking spanish a lil, you do have a point but Asake is global now, Nigeria/Africa are not only on his scope anymore. Remember he is no more hungry....so he can experiment now.

Asake's Lungu Boy Album is far better. All the tracks. Different sounds, Different beats, Different productions, different directions. Asake really did well with this Album. 💯

I have listened to the whole tracks on Asake’s new album Lugun Boy. Bluntly speaking, the album is below bar. I couldn’t find a single song I was drawn to. Your podcast does not give a honest review of the album and prolly influenced by pecuniary benefits

You don’t professionally review anything(music, food, hotels, etc) by saying “when you hear good sound you just know.” Music is subjective so it is okay to share your personal opinion. The review fails to share any specifics on why the sound is “great.” You do a terrible job at critiquing the essential elements of the sound(lyrics, production, flow, etc). Your biases are palpable and that is fine.
