Do You Sleep was a hit as well. A big mistake was not releasing How as a single from Twister and Jack Frost. She would have firmly had 4 hits and perhaps changing her trajectory.
yup. I saw her back in the early 2004 in NYC, Played with her then BF Dweezil Zappa, a crazy bass player, and drummer. One of the best live shows ever!!!! They did an encore with Stairway to heaven. Holy cow I almost pissed my pants at how well it went. THAT was a backing band... These guys here? Tame and lame. Go check out her live band from that time period!
That’s not the band’s fault-just listen to the song & it’s overall composition. The time of the rhythm is how Lisa wrote & intended it. They’re just playing what they know! It’s a great one, but it’s also rather sappy, vanilla, & basically “white-people” pop rock! Lol. Very 1990s “adult contemporary top 40” or “soft rock”. It’s likely going to sound borderline bland or even “plaintive” if it’s in those categories! So to say the band is too straight or has no funk… that doesn’t mean the band members play that way ALL the time. The song was written in the 90s & was played the same then!
One the most unforgettable musical artists of the 90's
wow, she's gorgeous.
Sounds great live. A true artist!
So talented...Always have loved her...
Wow, she's the bomb!
Grande Lisa!
Two hit wonder, both good!
