The “cannibalism” sounded weird at first, but considering that A: Birds of prey often eat other smaller birds and B: The Rito, being an intelligent species on par with humans/hylians, are probably considered an apex predator, it’d make sense that they’d eat poultry. It does sound very weird without that context though.
Yeah, it's weird to call Rito eating bird meat cannibalism, that would be like saying eating pork as a human is cannibalism because we're both mammals.

I’ve done the glitch before and you can stay on land for a couple seconds before you pass out and go back to the great plateau and if you get a horse before you pass out you can stay for a bit longer

Explanation for the "cannibalism":
Humans are mammals. Mammals eat other mammal species very often and we don't see this as cannibalism.
If a bird ate a bird of a different species than that should also not count as cannibalism.
