@@wuraolagxld578 Hello Wuraola! I used a clipping mask at the end there to trim everything up, if you haven't worked with those before I have a quick tutorial on it here: ruclips.net/video/J7BVRvPNRBQ/видео.html&t
Thank you kindly for this. I''m just now starting to get back into art and animation, so this was a great start on creating assets that are "on brand" and not just stock. :)
So glad you liked it! Custom brushes are one of my favorite things in Illustrator. I'm working on a new set and video right now to mimic pointillism and it's been a really fun process so far.
@@VectorArtAcademy Indeed Kat, I have been using Illustrator since 2016, but no one taught me this. Thanks a bunch. Expecting more videos from you. I saw you were using 2 decades, and you must be well versed 👏
I'm always open to suggestions if there's anything in particular you'd like to learn in Illustrator too! It's such a deep program I still learn new options and tricks pretty frequently even after using it for this long 😊
Sure, I'd be happy to! Any specific requirements or examples you'd like to see? I would typically do this with gradients and blending modes that work best in RBG for digital output.
@@VectorArtAcademyHey I never expected you will reply me and even consider to do my request Thank you very very much 🙏 Actually I am looking for an image like an open book from which the sun emerges and with the gradient of orange and yellow to sun and sunrays Thank u in advance
Hay, this is so fantasting experience I had ever in RUclips tutorial. I hope you will be also start a new series about character illustration. I am waiting to learn character illustration with you.
Hi Jim! I go over that process in this video: ruclips.net/video/sUVYm9GQvU0/видео.html At around 15 seconds I show how I paint the initial colors in Fresco, and then at 1 minute in you'll see how I make the circles and set up swatches in Illustrator. I hope that helps! ~Kat

I love this! Thanks! Quick question - I can save those brushes when I'm in the starter file but they don't show up in other documents... How can I fix that?
Hi Ian, I'm really glad you liked the tutorial! Once you have the brush set saved (using Save Brush Library,) you can load it into any Illustrator document by going to your brushes panel, and in the menu (top left menu button,) choose Open Brush Library > Other Library and navigate to where you’ve saved it. If you want this brush set to appear in all your documents you can use the “Persistent” option. I’m working on a tutorial for loading and saving brushes, I hope this helps in the meantime! You can also find more information here: helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/brushes.html
I'm thinking of doing a character illustration series over the next few weeks and some more design focused videos soon, I'd love to hear if there's any specific illustration subject or style you'd like to see!
@@muhammad_asif79 If you are looking for a place to build a nice portfolio site I would suggest looking at Behance.net they are part of Adobe and you can build a really nice portfolio there. If you mean more how to build up projects for your portfolio I always suggest doing some creative challenges or even design contests if you are just looking to get ideas for sample projects. You can also make up your own ideal customer depending on what kind of design you think you want to do and practice creating logos and branding that way for example, or for illustration just start drawing what inspires you to get a lot of practice in and build your style. I hope that helps! 😊
