this has always been the norm tho?! with the exception of the light fall expansion so i dont understand how this is lazy + FTP makes this moot as long as you have someone at level you are chilling
Content is coming out with this increase. I just wanna play the new content, and not the old stuff that is required to level i.e.:strikes, old dungeons, old raids, etc. 10 levels isn't crazy, just pointless IMO.
In crucible I would like to see a proper scoreboard, show me the true kills I made as well as how many times I died instead of a KD ratio. For onslaught bring the shiny weapins back. I enjoyed grinding for those. And make old expansions free for everyone to get new players. Idc if I payed for them at launch, its time to make them free
You have 4 months for a 10 level increase and its a problem? Nah. It would be an engagement farm if it required 50 levels or something like that. Now there are like 1000 ways to get pinnacle drops, cry me a river.
No matter the amount of the increase. It's clear Destiny has player engagement issues right now. This isn't a good thing to add back. It will only drive people away. That's my main gripe. Fix the core issues with ritual playlists. Not whatever this is.
@@DylonSan Most activities stays doable with only a 10 level bump. I agree that there are far worse issues to fix to get better player retention, but not raising the power cap would mean simply no real rewards for doing new content. Doing nothing would be worse.
@@arakwar The real rewards of new content are the guns and armor set to come out. But armor (legendary specifically) being meaningful outside of stats doesn't exist. I'm mostly excited for new weapons. Not so much looking forward to hoping I get the Pinnacle I need.
@@DylonSan Yeah...and your are going to have a new dungeon, new activities and a whole new ass episode to get those few levels. You are literally going to move a finger a get a pinnacles next season. We can still ask for new and better things and at the same time, not cry for a easy grind you automatically do by playing the new activities. Dude 10 levels for a 4 month season, do you really think Bungie is trying to hide something or distract the community in some way with that? You need to raise it a little bit, its almost half a year dude. In seasons we had a 50 level increase for 3 months, and now with 4 months the community is bitching for 10 levels? Nah. What a dumbass point, im sorry but no. It doesnt have anything to do with asking for more activities.
I'm not going to die on this hill, grand scheme of things this isn't a massive deal. But the timing isn't great, and it's quite obvious what this is meant to do. Legend title is literally player engagement the title. If the level increase gives people something meaningful to do, or whatever, then great. I just don't see that being the case. I could be wrong, and that's fine. Furthermore, I'm more so "bitching" about the lack of grind in the game for good loot. If I'm grinding activities to get a higher level, what's the point if the loot isn't good enough to match my grind? Which is a point Aztecross made in his video that you clearly watched. Making power number bigger isn't a solution to any of this. That's what I prefer to see/read about in a TWID.
idk what you mean by casual, my definition is a casual is someone who doesn't do high difficulty stuff, and the thing is, a lot of these players who are complaining might play high difficulty activities, the difference is that pinnacle activities are high difficulty activities and they are the boring crucible/vanguard/gambit slop that we have with pathfinder, they are giving us exclusive ones next episode, which is a plus, fireteam power does help out a lot, but SOMEONE has to play the game a LOT. Not everyone has hours in their day to spend on the game, so you calling anyone a casual is just saying that you have way too much time that you spend doing nothing productive, and spend it on destiny, other people have relationships, jobs, school, etc, they might only get an hour or two a day to play, maybe a bit more if they are more financially secure, but that's not everyone, next time, you don't have to try to insult people for not liking changes to a video game, if the majority wins, well that's fair, needs/wants of the many are a priority of course, and compromising is good too. Please though, you can say why you like the grind, there are a lot of valid reasons, and there are many valid reasons for not liking it. It's very easy to be seen as a lazy player count booster which I don't disagree that given the timing, seems like one. Calling people casuals though is kind of toxic, you're just flexing that you are better at a digital game which really serves no purpose other than being entertainment and fun, and are treating it like its a real skill to learn, though we both know that just like minecraft, it will one day inevitable and unfortunately die. You can be a hardcore fan, that's ok, but if you're gonna call someone a casual don't say it when there are valid reasons to the opposing argument, because calling someone a casual is the same as skill issue or git gud, it contributes absolutely nothing to the conversation, Dylon and many others might be a lot better than you at build crafting, gms, and high level content, and you are flexing that you have more time to play the game, good for you, but really nobody cares. So next time, use an actually valid argument, and don't respond to this with a single sentence that is 3 or 4 words longs, if at all. If you can't give reasons for an argument, then for people to talk to you is like talking to a wall.

They changed it and the community praised it. Now they're doubling back on it. Is what it is.
Hmm we don't have content to release? How do we keep the addicts playing our game?

More lazy complaining about it
🤓🤡
More lazy leaving a five word comment that adds no nuance to the conversation.
ok casual
If being a casual is wanting no level increase so I can spend more time soloing the new dungeon, or in GM nightfalls then I'm a filthy casual.
