Anyway another solid content sir!

    Hilux owner here, agree with what you’ve said. Soon siguro i might switch na talaga sa ibang brands because of your videos, ipon pa 🙏🏻

    This shows how badly overpriced toyota vehicles right now. The asean market vehicles of toyota is mostly underspecced for the price you’re paying for. From their daihatsu vehicles and even in their higher line up such as this fortuner. They just don’t care to create models that are well thought of and bring something new to the table because they are confident that it will sell naman. Which is unfair for the people who are not into cars and doesn’t know much about cars in other brands because they are blinded of that “reliability name”of toyota. Reliability is not always a good excuse to make up for that high asking price, there are many models in other brands that are also reliable and gives better value for money. That “reliability” name is so overrated nowadays with the recalls even with their LC300 3500 units are affected by the transmission recall, and even in the states tacomas have seen many issues. Even these hiluxes and fortuner had issues before with its alternator pulley but never exploited much since its a toyota. So i think if you’re still into toyota might as well wake up and try to be more open minded with other cars in our market that is a lot more value for money.

      100% agree on this. Our 2016 hilux revo parang tinipid siya. Miski yung basic na height seat adjustment ay wala. For vertically challenged person, mejo hirap. May pros and cons naman lahat pero ang OP talaga ng toyota dito sa pinas.

    • @alejandrorenzo2542

      @@jimjellychristoff350 true. we have the same hilux model. Our 2013 chevy colorado has more features in it. The "Reliability" marketing of toyota is such bullshit, our 2012 kia picanto and 2013 colorado are still running just fine. People think toyota is the only car company that creates reliable and durable cars, meanwhile isuzu's Dmax and Mitsubishi's Strada/Triton exists.

    • @mishuu4640
      @mishuu4640 5 месяцев назад +20

      Durability and reliability ng makina, availability ng parts, low cost maintenance, high resale value, and yes yung brand ang mga basehan kaya mahal ang high asking price ng toyota. Matik pag toyota subok and trusted talaga yan. Why do you think toyota ang number 1 best selling car brand sa asia? Oo agree ako na may ibang cars na mas mura, mas high-tech, and mas kumportable pero di lang dyan parati ang basehan. In 10 years time or more, dun mo makikita difference ng durability and performance ng makina ng toyota compared sa iba kahit isearch mo pa its either toyota or lexus pinaka durable and reliable pag dating sa makina. Malaking factor yan kaya medyo mahal price ng toyota ang iba kasi masyadong focused sa features ng sasakyan di iniisip yung mga reasons na namention ko kanina Oo may mga ibang kotse na reliable din pero iba parin talaga pag toyota talagang subok na yan. Preference parin naman yan though ng mga tao kung gusto ng tech and comfort (mahal nga lang mga parts pag nasira and yung maintenance), or sa tibay at long lasting na sasakyan. Ako I go for the reliability since di naman ako mayaman na pabago bago ng kotse. Gusto ko pang matagalan

    • @alejandrorenzo2542
      @alejandrorenzo2542 5 месяцев назад +21

      @@mishuu4640 i respect your opinion, but toyota’s not the only car brand that have built long lasting, reliable and durable cars. Take the nissan patrol for reference. The car’s been out since 2010, it’s practically a teenager. I’m not saying that toyota’s cars suck but they need to take some form of criticism. Their 3.4 liter engine found on the Tundra, Sequoia, and LX600s are dying as well as their GR corollas burning down the road. Toyota’s not as perfect as you think. People should actually not just fanboy and dickride their products all the time. And not all people keep their cars for 10 years or more, some sell it within 3-5 years. So i think it wouldn’t be the end of the world if people choose other car brands besides toyota.

    I agree, the fortuner is already showing its age, pero ang manual handbrake at gated manual is a subjective matter depending sa buyer. The major cons is the price, isama mu pa ung hydraulic PS, 3rd row seat at yes ang interior looks. I dont know how will it stack up with the upcomming Isuzu Mu-X na nasa Thai market na merong magagandang features with EPS pa.

Would be best to get technical details of GRS Performance Parts such as the Brakes, Suspension and etc. Sample: Does the GRS Brakes have improve brake power? additional piston in the caliper? or is it just a painted caliper with grs logo? The suspension as well, is it a sporty tuned spring type tube? oil type? or air type? other than those, ano pa ibang grs performance parts nakalagay? especially sa makina? ganun dapat ang review sa GRS Variant para malaman ng tao ano binabayaran nila extra for having GRS Badge

    2.7m wala paring panoramic sunroof. Kahit yun man lang. Parang end game na SUV na for an average Filipino. Di ko talaga alam bakit hanggang ngayon naka toyota sila, if reliability usapan, halos lahat ng Kotse ngayon reliable na dahil sa tech, + napakabilis nalang ng shipping ngayon if in case wala sa pinas yung part ng “not a toyota” car mo. Yung chevrolet namin yung dating 1 month dumating, ngayon 2 days nalang.

    Great review as always! Admittedly ang ganda talaga ng Fortuner, as a first time car buyer this was one of my choices. Sabi nga kasi nila, Fortuner is the car flex to show that you have made it! Ang layo ng difference between the Fortuner GR Sport and Everest Titanium 4x4. The only thing the Fortuner has up its sleeve is its reliability and availability of spare parts. Pero head-to-head, the rest of the pros will go to the Everest and it even has a lower price. Ex: Sa instrument cluster pa lang, the Fortuner has one of the smallest multi-information displays in its segment at analog pa yung gauges. They never upgraded them to digital kahit man lang sa LTD at GR Sport models sana when they launched. Now, contrast that with Everest's 12 inch full colored multi-information display na napaka ganda tingnan araw man o gabi and very premium ang dating ng interior. Another example: The Fortuner has only 3 drive modes - normal, eco, and sport. In contrast, the Everest has around 6 drive modes that are tailored to the type of terrain you are driving at and marami pang ibang features.

OP talaga fortuner. Went with other brands this time for the new car kasi outdated na to mahal pa. To think new gen is in the horizon na din. Kakahinayang bumili tapos luma agad in 2 yrs time. nice review again sir Levi.. 👍
    Ang base expectation at dapat nau-una talaga (mula nuon up to present) is ung reliability ng bawat Car manufacturers. ito ung dapat pinuPursue ng bawat car brands. which is Kudos kay Toyota dahil naestablish nila mula nuon (or other Japanese brands) ng mas mataas ung "Pursuit of Reliability" kesa sa ibang brands...
    kaya ang result, panghabol (or Compensate) ng ibang car manufacturers is lagyan ng mas madaming features/more tech sa kotse nila to outshine ung naka establish ng more reliable brand.
    and also si Fortuner today is One Generation Behind padin sa Competition.. and Some people say... "May nilulutong mas mainit si Toyota sa next Gen Fortuner." para maging equal na sila sa competition... 😉😉👌👌

      hindi lang si Toyota ang nagdadala but the whole "Japanese makers" has establish themselves as pinaka matibay/reliable na makers (not only in automotive) but also applies to all Japanese consumer technology, appliance, etc...
      but not arguing with the price.. ito naman ung ang downside ng naka-establish ng mas Mataas ba reliability sa market... nagiging overprice.
