I knew something like this would happen. I think Rosen asked for Sephiroth to mercy-kill him. He already made it clear that he would rather die with his people in their homeland rather than escape with the people who killed his people. R.I.P. Rosen 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@IamtheMan1111 It's because he was forced to choose between saving the lives of his comrades or a boy he just met. The island was collapsing and there was not much time left. So he had to choose quickly. Rosen did not want to live anymore and that was his own choice to make. He kept refusing even though Sephiroth begged him to come with him.
@IamtheMan1111 At 14 years old maybe is a matter of perceiving the wrong values..."bur if someone leads those little ones to sin it would had been better for him to had had his neck tied on a stone and casted into the sea".
Seeing why Sephiroth killed Rosen really makes this scene worse. He did it as a mercy, because Rosen asked, and because the others were going to die if Sephiroth didn’t make a choice. Sephiroth didn’t want to do it but he did. It cost him his new little found family, their trust, whatever potential he could have had with them….and on top of that, the only photo of his mother that he had. He lost everything to save them.
All went so wrong. Sephiroth had none to teach him good values love compassion or unconditional love. That's a failed attempt to display immense love...😢😢😢 ge was supposed to slap Rosen's face instead. This is more cruel then Teta's death (Delita's Sister).
@@Juan-i3u4g It’s an agonizing thought. Sephiroth trying to love people and care about them by saving them, but it’s violent. He was created to be a killing machine. All his life his love was stifled by his own creation and power. He must have felt so empty when he realized it was because Shinra built him that way. Not to love, but to kill.
@@Juan-i3u4g But young Sephiroth did learn good values on his own. Just like you see, young Sephiroth cares for human lives back then. Honestly, what the hell, Glenn? He was happy to kill the Rhadore adults in exchange for a bonus, but then gets mad at Sephiroth for being a bad crisis counselor at 14 (or however young he is).
To be fair, that was before character development kicked in for Glenn. He was disturbingly nonchalant about slaughtering the natives of the Rhadore Archipelago just to get his paycheck to pay back everyone he owed (especially his grandma). He later expresses doubts about what he has been doing when he's ordered by Sephiroth to murder even the child soldiers and the elderly soldiers. By the time the Rhadoran genocide was finished, Glenn was the first to suggest burying the Rhadorans they killed so they could return to the planet in peace. Before, Glenn couldn't give two cents about the enemies he was ordered to kill, but afterward? He feels guilty for it and is willing to take responsibility for his actions.
Just check out what Glenn had turned into in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Glenn will eventually be Hojo's experiment and then learn the ability to shape shift into Sephiroth. That will eventually make Rufus calling Glenn a cheap imitation of Sephiroth. Rufus will shoot Glenn with his shotgun and say he wanted a real Sephiroth. Not some cheap imitation. So I am sure current Glenn will approve of what current Sephiroth do.

@IamtheMan1111 Rosen wanted to die, Sephiroth clearly was hesitating in killing him.

@IamtheMan1111Sephiroth honored Rosen's wishes. The others wouldn't understand.

I agree. 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞
I think it shows that being a hero isn't always so straightforward. Can Sephiroth become any more tragic of a character, Jesus. 😢😢😢😭
