Key thing is the importance of a quarantine tank.

Dirty water_less amount of oxygen_ammonia spike_excessive water flow in the tank…..anyone or all of them.

i bought the most beautiful leopard discus, he never wanted to eat, so I followed a treatment protocol on line and I raised the temp to 90 degrees in a quarantine tank, well it died the next day. So I don't know if it was because it was a new tank of the temperature that killed it. I used the same water from my established tank and some decorations and I added quick start and I added potassium permanganate. Idk what happened.

For discuss fish daily water change is required?
Can we use canister filter instead of sponge filter

Do you have to do 50% water change in 75 gallon every day
    Any help would be great.

Cant argue with your results however im confused about the water changes. I thought u shouldnt do water changes when dosing melafix. Only change water after the 7 day treatment? I assume the melafix still helped?

No one has replied to you, you need to dose melafix daily and I always do a 50% water change before.
