dude I clicked as soon as I saw this in my reccommended. I have not seen ANYONE talk about parasite since it came out except well, me. You encaptured everyhing I love about this series so beautifully. I'm an author, and whenever I'm writing an emotional scene next to you is the first song i pick because man as i heard it i started whistling the tune and i could just feel the tears in my eyes, that's how much this show meant to me I'm an adult now, and though I watched this so many years ago this video reminded me why I loved it as much i did, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Parasyte was actually an anime I dropped in the first few episodes way back, but picked up again when the 'locked in' memes made it resurface and I'm so glad it did. Before I even came the notorious 'locked in' scene I had already witnessed the far more iconic moments in the show and understood exactly what I almost missed if it wasn't for the mf meme lol.
Im not gonna lie, since its an older anime from the 2010s it has some weird cringe scene where mc touches the girls chest accidentally. That almost threw me off, but everything else is peak

I watched Parasyte after watching a few hundred anime and I thought nothing could impress me anymore and I watched every good show there is but it suprised me a lot. It became one of my favorite anime of all time and it rekindled my love for anime. The pacing, the action, the music and the length which is just perfect so its never boring, no filler episodes and the whole story gets told with a great ending. Thank you for brining more attention to this hidden gem.
Honestly, I really appreciate that you made this video; I have good memories of Parasyte (Manga) and Parasyte: The Maxim, I really loved both series, with something about them resonating with me. Hearing one of my favorite artists talk about Parasyte does me the feels.
I really love this type of analysis and Parasyte is a great anime. What caught my eye is the fact, that some of Mahito’s (JJK) moves are very similar to Shinichi’s combat and other parasites as well. He even transforms it something that resembles Migi. It might be just coincidence but Shinichi and Mahito share the same Japanese voice actor. But it’d be pretty awesome if they included it as some kind of Easter egg.
I might be lying but the main animator on Parasyte (or character designer idk) works on JJK. Even some faces between both shows seem similar rather than a 1:1 Gege artstyle translation in the case of JJK.
@@wumbojet she had only seen Akira and Spirited Away before and loved those. She's big into romance, horror, comedy, emotional beats, sci fi and likes a little action every now and then. It hit pretty much all the right notes for her.
I just completed it for the first time around the start of this month and I must say that I absolutely loved it. Generally I have to drag myself to watch a 24 ep anime but just after watching the first 2 ep I was hooked and completed it in 3 days. The anime gives this subtle horror+thriller vibe which I really loved. Overall a solid 8.5/10

Just from the Westside Gunn snippet in the intro I knew this was finna be fye. Parasyte got horror, psychological thriller, and even tugged on the heart strings so much. Top 3 and may not be 3 or 2.
The lyrics when Shinichi finally gets his emotions back and cries are "now is the right time, to take a step forward" too, that scene gives me chills, it's such a perfect scene.
I remembered this one a while back and rewatched this recently. It still holds up , it is so good. First Air Gear, now Parasite... You are great at drudging up my personal nostalgia.

The manga art for parasyte and color pages are so sick and sleak its a timeless art style that never gets old to look art author was ahead of the game in storytelling for something in 1990 and art IWAAKI Hitoshi doesn't get enough credit for his art the line work is so smooth and clean his designs for the blades of the parasytes especially the ones with multiple blades,eyes and teeth on the head and body are tuff ash a couple favorite pages of mine is chapter 18 page 13 and chapter 23 page 4 and chapter 1 page 3. It's like looking at John Carpenter the thing mixed with las plagas and prototype. I recommend reading it in color and black and white great vid as always man 🐐

The only content creator I will watch immediately and put down everything to watch the content of. I've never realized my appreciation for the media I watch goes so deep and never paid as much attention to for example the backgrounds of shoes until your background video. Strangely enough, I didn't feel too strongly about Parasyte, at least compared to the generally very high reputation it garnered. The reason I call this strange, is that despite my relatively lousy opinion on the show, I still think it has one of the Top 10 scenes in any anime that I have ever seen. Episode 18's pivotal moment is flawless and one of the best examples of how to write build-up and pay-off.

One of my favorite anime, I was so surprise to see a video talking about parasite and thought it was gonna be just a regular comparison video but thank you so much for making this video. Strangely enough, I didn't feel too strongly about Parasyte, at least compared to the generally very high reputation it garnered. The reason I call this strange, is that despite my relatively lousy opinion on the show, I still think it has one of the Top 10 scenes in any anime that I have ever seen. Episode 18's pivotal moment is flawless and one of the best examples of how to write build-up and pay-off.
Excellent video, great reminder of a great anime. I have been meaning to find time to re-watch it at some point!

Currently rewatching Parasyte for I believe the 9th or 10th time. Seriously one of my favorites . It hits my soul in a wave of nostalgia and adrenaline. Once again another great video I remember watching parasyte in secondary school (high school) with my friend and our other friend who was not interested in anime at all gave it a go and he had a brief anime arc that sadly ended but it’s still close with us as it really had profound and philosophical themes that I myself didn’t even notice parts of it until you highlighted it so thank you so much I.P see you at the next one! 🇬🇧
