killing spree fr got me into rock/metal(core) as a kid. i was in a predominantly rap and rnb household so im always grateful for this series kickstarting my interest. may get jase tatted one day

Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking for preachy morality/religion crap, but I want some subversive depth to the story which would in turn make it even more innovative. That's why I liked Fight Club. And there's so much the Killing Spree series storyline has to work with that would allow for hidden undertones of allegory and philosophy. The balance between chaos and order. The will to live within the inevitability of upcoming death (mortality). Nonconformist direction in opposition to the zombie-fied robots of society (rebellion). I mean he is the outlaw here after all, isn't he? He's trying to take down the system and the radio newscast literally referred to him as a terrorist. I would think it would've been better if the series had a philosophy built around it.

Tone is also all over the place with random non sequitur jokes in earlier episodes. This episode really wants there to be a reason to care about the drama but you just kind of have to forget that Jase has absolutely no justification for what he's doing.

Barry left out a NUMBER of charges that would honestly have Jase serving multiple life sentences if not being outright executed if he'd been caught. Off the top of my head, I find Jase guilty of the following: Multiple counts of aggravated assault/murder in the first degree Vehicular manslaughter 2 counts of grand theft auto Destruction of public, private, AND government property Robbery ARMED robbery dashed with homicide if you wanna count the scooter hijacking and the cherry on top, terrorism and high treason for his attack on the military base And at worse, Jimmy's an accessory with ONE charge of vehicular manslaughter that I can actually tie to him personally. Though, that's kinda murky since it was Joe Zombie and he's already dead... Bottom line is if they'd been caught and brought in, Jim would certainly be serving life on guilt by association, and Jase would be facing execution for sure
Cool if he had not been executed he would have sat for eternity because he broke too many laws and then I think that would have just killed a typo revenge for his comrades

I found it on stickpage, it was on there 100%. By far the best animated stick series i've seen, not because of amazing animations, but the story is really good imo.
The song that plays when they fight is called bleeding mascara by Atreyu if anyone wanted to know. I first watched this when I was 8 and that song is still in my gym playlist to this day
The ending of Part 7 is the beginning of part 6. Jase turns INTO the "killer" at the end of 7. Note the body the killer just cut up in the intro, same placement as Barry's in 7.

Other than Oscar Johansson’s “Castle” series, yes; those are still-I think, the best ones to date. What I liked about Sam Green’s “Killing Spree” series is that you can see huge improvement in animation with each episode’s release. Oscar’s “Castle” series, on the other hand-was consistent from the beginning. Sam started these out as a beginner with the first iteration of “Killing Spree” and morphed into a professional animator by the time episodes 5-7 came out. “Castle” was just so good-the only improvement between the main series and “Repercussions” would be the upgrade in audio quality; the sample rate and bitrate of the dialogue and SFX were very crisp this time around. Oscar was a professional from the start. He’s now working for the video games industry and has a family. I don’t really know what Sam is doing these days. I hope to see them both come back to their animations again.

If you don't know it, it is a series inspired by the stickman series xiao xiao. It has a very similar style to the Castle Series and Killing Spree as well.

Sorry for late response, but yes. All of the Killing Spree intros are actually after 7. The whole story after the intro is actually the past. And the mysterious random hockey mask guy that killed many people is actually Jase (the blue hat guy, also no not the one with a cop hat). So it made alot of sense who was that hockey mask guy.
