That might be true. If I remember correctly, I can't measure resistance with my multi meter with voltage applied, or I would verify that. I have seen some odd resistance readings off this, like almost no resistance. If resistance gets too low, you basically have a short circuit.
I bought a Milboxer 8 cell charger and then a PowerX-5 4 cell charger that works in a car. Both read batteries differently so it is a tossup, to which one is more accurate. However, I have no plug in USB battery cells. I drop in any battery and let the charging up to the charger. They call them smart chargers and playing with the setting when you are not as smart as the charger is why.🐯⚡⚡🤯
Most regular consumers would not care about the info it gives, but it makes it an interesting charging device.
