Began watching this series yesterday. Just now finished 8th episode and had a heartbreak and I’m here. It was the first time that I have experienced such a deep pain in my heart for a character in a movie, when that dane raised her body-less head to Uthred. My goodness, I cannot imagine how people would cope with the loss of their soulmate.
Iseult struck me as a embodyment of mother earth,wise from ancient knowlegde and literally gifted. It sadened me that she got wasted for a shock moment.
@@JBackkkkk Imho they should rather tell a fascinating story with interesting characters that develop over time instead of retreating to teendrama concepts. Nevertheless so far Last Kingdom didnt sunk that deep like GOT did in its last seasons.
So far, what I've seen of the series, being a man I think iseult or the queen (in my personal preference )would be my choice of women to be with,they both have character and beauty which is unique.

actually Iseult is very pretty and i like her but by me saying i like the queen i meant king Albert's wife that may seem like an odd choice but she is very beautiful without makeup and i saw her with makeup and I'd still prefer the latter,i really thought so when i saw her getting on camera in the day in the life of Harry McEntire video from The Last Kingdom youtube page

Charlie Murphy dies in The Last Kingdom. Charlie Murphy doesn't end up with Tommy in Peaky Blinders. Why can't directors give this woman the main female role, she's always been the most suitable to every male characters but never have a good ending?
As sad as it is, one thing I like about the books and this show is that it doesn't sugar coat relationships, we all meet amazing people in our lives and we lose them, and Uhtred's life is the same. He has to deal with relationships, friendships, betrayals and lost just like everyone. It's not all fairy tale endings. Same for other characters in the show.
Well, one thing that the show didn't really did well is staying on the feeling of loss. It was like : ''well she's dead, let's have him meet someone new 1-2 episodes later'' , they moved too quickly.
It annoys me that the writers thought that they had to kill off every lover that Uthred had after 2 or 3 episodes. They make you invested in them and then kill them for no apparent reason, I mean Uthred couldnt catch a break
I wish have the season 4,5,6 last kingdom are amazing alexander dreymon are good in this series so damn hot very good actor for me I did not know last kingdom untill I watch in netflix I hope soon have the season 4 or more I cant wait it so exciting to watch I hope uthred he have here permanent queen I feel him everytime he hurt my heart are broken to him.
Personally I did not much understand her presence at all. Like it ended suddenly and there wasn’t any point of her being there if not for little bit longer. Still, don’t think that she is love of his love . Yes, he was struck by her, but not something more than that of her “unique” character . Quick development and no actual point in it.
