大陆也有很多紫竹笛，而且喜欢紫竹笛的人是非常喜欢，反而会不喜欢苦竹。桂竹，其实捧得过了，类似的物种，再各地有各地的变化。福建做箫，主要是毛竹或者石竹，贵州那边爱用金竹，其实都跟桂竹差不多，生物学上也是同一个属的。桂竹是好，不过没有也没什么影响

苦竹竹壁其实也不算厚，就是比紫竹脆硬一些，而且节又长，内径均匀，刚好适合做笛子。
好像基本上都有音孔在竹节上，八孔箫的音孔要避开竹节好难
声音清亮似笛子了，真的好喜欢这个音色
愈小音越高，剛作好吹不響。現在竹子經濟價值，少了

大陆威胁到你的市场，说明做得还不够好。不然就是你威胁大陆的市场了。市场都是开放的。
這樣講也不全然客觀，大陸的資源較多在相同的水準下產量能更大並更便宜，台灣的競爭力自然較低。而且傳統樂器的製作技術本來就很難再有突破，基本上現代與古代工藝的差別只在用機械工具輔助製作而已
