Just finished watching this video and was finding it extremely informative. We just love your videos! We found Gaby very helpful and so much so we reached out to her via email.
Very interesting and informative videos! Thank you for sharing. I have watched four of then now. I was wondering when Gaby talks about high and low season and i know one is the dry season and one the rainy season, does the temperature and humidity change? And do you have the garua mist that we experienced during our stay in Puerto Lopez? How are the mosquitoes? How long did you take to find your home? Thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
Ok it does confusing but on the coast the high season is Dec - May. More tourists come. Weather is hotter with alot more sun. It can rain very hard at night and early morning. But alot of sun 🌞 during the day. Also the rainy season is the same time with the rain mostly at night. The low season has alot of cloud. Misty weather. Cooler ,Drizzle etc. Now el nino this year changed it up with hotter more sunny weather all around. Hope this helps.
Thank you for making the video Kris and Mike, great info. Gabi seems like a very nice lady. I look forward to seeing a possible build you own house video?
Thanks for watching. Yes that one is coming in about three weeks. Its been delayed A bit with our Cuenca trip. So probably 2-3 videos in Cuenca then the building your own house video.
I'm interested in a long term lease for small pleasant, but modest one bedroom in Montanita or Olon. I dont mind being away from beach. I'm wondering what the cost range for that would be?
Thanks 👍. Actually we were lucky in that the mattresses that came with our house are excellent. They are spring. I have heard that it's pretty easy to get good ones here. We did have memory foam back in Canada. It was great too. Both foam and spring have bad ones tho.
thank you for all the info I truly think it is overprice ,the rentals are beautiful, but you talking Ecuador, its still a third world country.rental should be on a same level as how much people in that country make in salary ,hardly anyone makes a 1K a month, how can 1500 to 2000 US dollars be justified? thank you guys.
Hi. Thanks for watching. So a couple of things. Ecuador is a developing country not a third world country. The price she mentioned is a fancy beach condo in the high season with only a short term rental. Many rentals here start at about 2 hundred and go up . All depends what your looking for and where. Most of the beach front homes in this area are owned by rich Ecuadorians from other places in Ecuador and use this million plus homes on weekends. They would rent for 250 and higher a night. It's a diverse market here. Lots of everything.
Gabi seems very friendly and knowledgeable about real estate in Ecuador. You should have her company name with contact info posted. You two make some great videos. Thank you for all the information.

$300-$550 depending on how americanized it is.
@@KrisandMike thanks guys, you're the best! What is that realtors email?
It makes sense that short term rentals are more costly than a year (or longer) lease. It certainly is in the U.S.!
👍
What is ‘Gabbi’s website?

LOL. The Mantis was worth sticking around for. Question - best place to buy mattresses? Did you go for memory foam or traditional spring?
Thanks 👍. Actually we were lucky in that the mattresses that came with our house are excellent. They are spring. I have heard that it's pretty easy to get good ones here. We did have memory foam back in Canada. It was great too. Both foam and spring have bad ones tho.
ru guys renting or did u buy?
We actually bought. For us that was the best. Most people should rent first. We have a video on why we purchased a home. Thanks for watching
