@alexzlotowski5685 why are you singling joe Gomez out ffs ...he's been excellent and was noting to do with the Goal we conceded ..you'll be blaming him for the FOG next
Just like 5 years ago, this game has me convinced we'll win it this year, we're just an all-round team with so many matchwinners. And this with quite a few flaws in the team. I actually thought Robertson had a good game going forward, but there was one instant where he completely took out a player because he arrived oh so late that proves yet again that his legs/timing have just gone. Imagine what this team will be like under Slot once we have a new LB, another CM and a replacement for the passenger Nunez (swap deal with Gordon?), and a full preseason of training for everyone. The future is bright.
@cjewe1z thing is I can't imagine anyone paying even close to what we paid for Nunez, so a swap deal with an FFP restricted club would be our best bet to get some value out of the deal. As a squad player I think Gordon would be ideal as back up to Jota
Gakpo's first goal just before half time was crucial. Going in at half time losing wouldn't have been ideal. I thought Nunez was awful up top. He has really regressed this season and we are a lot better with him on the bench.
@@LOGOS422 why was Nunez touted as such a good football player when he is so inept and learning about football on the job. Liverpool scouts didn't get it correctly about him
Despite all of their strengths, by far Liverpools biggest advantage over any team in Europe is their ability to adjust at halftime and come out 2nd half and go up by 2 or 3 gears. Every single game. Incredible mentality of this team.
Good win despite the woodwork trying to keep us out and var. I did not think one chalked off was offside. Only downside was sobo yellow who will miss west ham game. Gapko motm for me.

Too early to say for Arne but the signs are good!
Agree that we need a signing in Jan to help rotate with Gravenberch. An injury to him because of his having to play almost every game is not going to help with the title hunt. While Robbo may not be at his best, so much focus on him will just make the opposition attack from his side as they will see him as the weak link. I think the Referee/VAR today went some ways to spoil the game too. They stopped the game and spoiled our momentum at times when they should not have. And for VAR to take like 4 minutes to check. That was crazy.

After West Ham there’s a full week before the gimme v Utd, and then I would expect to see many of the key players rested in the Carabao and FA Cups - maybe even one of the CL games given our position. I hope Endo gets more game time for Gravenberchs sake because even if we sign zubi in January there's no guarantee that he doesn't look a bit off the pace swapping from la liga to the prem mid season.

Konate the most underrated player in the prem and Europe. They need Konate and to a lesser extent Bradley back to make it even more difficult for the rest,
Spot on analysis once again I am happy with the result. I just hope we can sign a lb in jan and slowly get robbo out the line up. I don’t want robbo to become a laughing stock like Walker is considering what a legend robbo is
The path to points or victory each game changes, but the team and manager do what they need to to win. Sometimes its not pretty or perfect, clean sheets every match would make a mockery of this being the best league in the world and of the professional footballers playing in it. Grinding wins is all that matters.
Strange to talk about the negatives without mentioning Nunez. I was surprised to see him in the starting lineup but not surprised at all about the performance, simply feels like we’re carrying a player when he’s in the side. I’m hoping this is just a stop gap while we wait for Jota and Chiesa to get fit because all three attackers on the bench are better than Darwin on present form
I’ve said on a few videos before that Nunez is what he is, not much point going into it over and over. He’s going to come in for the odd game here and there and as long as he doesn’t totally drag the team down then that’s okay. I don’t expect him to be here next season, though.
@davidlynchlfc fair enough and thanks for replying. Really enjoying the content. I agree there is no place for Núñez in the squad going forward. Not so much because of his lack of end product, but more the lack of intelligence. Arne is clearly a very tactical coach and if you don’t even have the language skills to receive the instruction you don’t stand a chance of carrying it out. It was a lightbulb moment for me watching Macca’s interview with Lineker - the guy spoke no English at all when he got to Brighton and is now fluent. After three years Darwin’s few interviews show he still has very little English I’m hoping they are just nursing Jota back and obviously saving Diaz for West Ham. Beyond that I’d be happy seeing Nunez as impact sub and FA / Carabao Cup player, before wishing him all the best at another club in the summer
Robbo just unfortunate in those moments. It’s not his fault Trent was missing down the right, they got the cross in, and where was Gomez and VVD to cut out the ball? This is why we miss Konate.
Leicester goal is for more on TAA than it is on Andy Robertson. Tsimikas had a moment when I feared he re-injured his leg. am I the only one who saw that?
I like how Liverpool have copied Arsenal's method of attacking corners. If we win the league through it, we will also put up a mural of the Arsenal's set piece coach. 😂😂😂 Big up Slot for using all avenues to improve the team.
Hi David happy Christmas and new year I thought we were better in the second half and got the win in the end I’ve got to ask you this but are you now worried that we haven’t seen or heard anything about the contracts and we are only now 5 days away from all three of them allowed to speak to teams outside of Europe and sign pre contracts with other teams I really hope we have some good news on that soon because I don’t what the contracts to be a distraction and we drop off in our performance I know we want bit there’s a little part of me that is worried that we will anyway hope you had a good Christmas and I hope you have a good new year and 2025/will be a great year for you and hopefully 2025 will be a great year for Liverpool
Thought Trent was really poor defensively and offensively, the fact he was taken off corner duty says it all. Gravenberch desperately needs a rest, hopefully Hughes starts earning his wage and brings in a decent midfield option for Arne in January.
Good Vlog. I agree with most of your comments, but not about Andy Robertson. If you look at the Leicester goal he did what he should have and blocked the option to the far corner. There was cover on the other side from two players and if anything you could criticise Virgil for not blocking the shot in the area he was covering. (Although that would be harsh). I also think Andy is one of these players who needs to be playing regularly. Think he has been good in recent games.
It’s more that he turned around to face his own goal. I still think he has loads to give this season but possibly needs to be rotated a little to protect his legs.
every team near the bottom should be given a 1 or 2 goal start - like a handicap in horse racing! Liverpool play better when there's a decent challenge (such as a decent team).
I dont blame Robertson for their goal..i blame the right back and CB..Robbo actually came across from his position to help...So where was Trent,Gomez and VVD???...
Trent gets caught up the pitch but that’s what he’s asked to do and the DM drops in to cover. Unfortunately Gravenberch didn’t do enough to stop the cross.
The performance was awful. Apparently, Klopp's team build-up is wearing out and Slot's management is coming to the forefront. Like Man United, favoroutism is apparent and one would expect team cohesion would fall apart and consequently results may suffer in the coming game. God save us.
I was a big supporter of Nunez , but he is currently going backwards . Is it a confidence thing? Shame, unless he improves quickly he will be gone in the summer.
He's never had any confidence. He's just not very good. Will analyse players too much sometimes when it is as simple as not being up to standard in what a league chasing team requires
I'm not trying to wind anybody up ! No Buvey ur not are you ? @@davidlynchlfc as you say the manager is over playing him - deffo need Tsimikas to give him the rotation rests. Normally Gomez would do it but hes been busy with covering Konate.

....so that LFC can win matches because they've been losing....?
I think you missed the point that Bradley is a RB, lol.
And no, from what I have read most people have picked up on this. 😂
Spot on analysis once again
I am happy with the result.
The level Gomez is playing I’d play him at left back when ibou is available.
I wouldn’t be against this.
brilliant performance again tonight David totally dominated Leicester
After three years Darwin’s few interviews show he still has very little English
I’m hoping they are just nursing Jota back and obviously saving Diaz for West Ham. Beyond that I’d be happy seeing Nunez as impact sub and FA / Carabao Cup player, before wishing him all the best at another club in the summer
Slot the tweak genius
AKA hes doing what it says on his job description
Robbo just unfortunate in those moments. It’s not his fault Trent was missing down the right, they got the cross in, and where was Gomez and VVD to cut out the ball? This is why we miss Konate.
A professional game: winning without being at your very best!
Big up Slot for using all avenues to improve the team.
Nice foggy and easy Dave 💯😎👍
Found it nervy. But think they might all be now 😂 Knew once we equalised we would 2, 3, 4... Superb dominant performance.
Nervy feelings are in the guts of the feeler
Clever man Slot.
Thought Trent was really poor defensively and offensively, the fact he was taken off corner duty says it all.
Gravenberch desperately needs a rest, hopefully Hughes starts earning his wage and brings in a decent midfield option for Arne in January.
Corner kicks were poor and Robertson not up to scratch.
Tsimikas must return soon !
Yeah ,3 points in the bag, yippeee❗️
ynwa bud gakpo Jones macca were excellent van dijk is a rolls Royce what a player
Gravenberch does look tired . His creative instinct is suffering because of that
Thought Darwin was decent today he linked up well
It could quite easily have ended 6-1, the two efforts against the framework and the disallowed goal for offside
Felt kheler should start,Allison does not seem been in form, ever since come back from injury been leaking goals, we need more clean sheets
every team near the bottom should be given a 1 or 2 goal start - like a handicap in horse racing! Liverpool play better when there's a decent challenge (such as a decent team).
Great win .trent was poor .
Best Christmas gift, with us winning the last 2 games and Chelsea dropping points. It’ll be even better when Arsenal loses 😂
Substitutions far too late. We need to rotate players a lot more. Fixture congestion is just around the corner.
Darwin is done. Sad to say our most expensive player is no good for us in our current iteration.
Young Issac said 3-1
We could have played a little better but will take a win no matter how it comes.
We the best team in Europe
I dont blame Robertson for their goal..i blame the right back and CB..Robbo actually came across from his position to help...So where was Trent,Gomez and VVD???...
Trent gets caught up the pitch but that’s what he’s asked to do and the DM drops in to cover. Unfortunately Gravenberch didn’t do enough to stop the cross.
Got to sort out defence shouldn't conceive 3 goals
In top level football these things can occasionally happen. Deal with it
The performance was awful.
I think he will be gone come the summer to be honest.
Man United was a no show again the fans must be having sleepless nights and dayless nightmare
I'm not trying to wind anybody up ! No Buvey ur not are you ? We didn't have the title wrapped up 😂😂😂😂 Saying that just proves you are trying to wind people up but hey if that's how he gets his kicks it's cool but we having the last laugh watching Pep lose his mind and City being shite and I'm not worried that they will come back this season cos and might not make the Europa league 😂😂😂😂 But im not trying to wind anyone up honestly 😂😂😂😂 up the reds YNWA
✌✌✌✌✌
Sozbo missing west ham is absolutely oerfect . Rather him play agianst the 3 / 4 games coming up . I think gravenberch ahould get his yellow against west ham . I think playing against Brentford and forest is preferred. Utd are just absolutely garbage.
Poor lazy journalism yet again sticking the boot into Robbo.
Tbf it's not just yourself but throwing him under the bus for any mistake is shoddy.
Robbo was back covering when others weren't.
Van Dijk should have cleared the ball before it reached Ayew.
Hate stuff like this. It’s my opinion, I’m allowed to give it. And I generally lean towards the positives, I just think it’s obvious Robertson is having a few issues this season.
@@davidlynchlfc as you say the manager is over playing him - deffo need Tsimikas to give him the rotation rests.
Normally Gomez would do it but hes been busy with covering Konate.
The odds are in favour of the aldi/lidl level winger/forward turning or out pacing a high level defender in the early stages of a game. Class will overcome over 90+ mins.
I reiterate my view that its just bullying and poor journalistic opinions slating him. Its classic fan boo boy behaviour. @davidlynchlfc
Robertson is a liability.
Thats just a vacant comment without analysis - do better lad
Move on TRENT ALEXANDER ARNOLD...SICK OF HIS DEFENSIVE NAIVETY,ARROGANCE,LAZINESS and Inability to do DEFENSIVE SHIFT.WE NEED A RB TO COVER BRADLEY A LB TO PUSH/COVER ROBBO AND A CDM TO COVER
only thing that made me uncomfortable was the fog
gravebirch is one booking away from a ban I'd rest him against west ham so he is available for the utd game
While I would like to agree...we lost Szobo today for that game so we cannot afford to lose both players for that away game in London. We will just have to roll the dice on Ryan at West Ham. The question I have is if he gets a yellow vs West Ham, will his 4 cards get wiped out after Jan 1 even though we haven't played half our games with the Neverton game delayed?
@johanld2826 no it's a ban for the utd game if he does so I'd play endo give Ryan a rest
WHU away tougher than Manure at home imo. YNWA
@@richard9045 I agree I would play Ryan at West Ham and Endo vs ManUre if Ryan gets banned. We need to keep the momentum and going away from home is always going to be tough in the Prem. We need our best players on the pitch as much as possible to keep building the lead at the top.
Our remaining away games in the league this season are tough:
West Ham
Forest
Brentford
Bournemouth
Man City
Villa
Fulham
Leicester
Chelsea
Brighton
Everton
@@Charlie_Ses Liverpool always get the best out of some opponents even if they are bottom of the pile
so win the home games (we have the entire bottom 3 to play at home) & then you only need to win half those aways
Dont blame Robbo for the goal VVD should've put the ball out for a corner 😮.
VVD is a great player but hes going back to thinking hes a big time charlie
why don't you talk about JOnes and how poor he was???
is it because he is ENGLISH>???
extract his numbers and analyse them
😂😂😂
@saoudallan1 its your bedtime lad
it's so clear that slot doesn't trust his squad, he waits until the 77 min to make a change, i have said it before, you must be fresh when it comes to the last 10 games but if slot continues like this our players will be finished
Chelsea are late bloomers and won't threatened Liverpool I think they should be proud where they are
"it's so clear that slot doesn't trust his squad" thats nonsense.
@chilled99 if im wrong why come he only uses 4 midfielders?
@chilled99 Not true and these little narratives creep into the minds of those who thinks irrational. Please discontinue.
