My problem with B&W is by the time I save enough money to buy the model I want, it’s changed and the new version is more expensive. So I start saving again only to have the new model change just when I finally get enough money. And on and on.
I hear ya, but don’t let that stop you from moving forward with a solid pair of speakers! New models coming means great discounts on the ones you were previously considering. Take a look at open boxes and close outs!
I recently got the 705 S3 and HTM71 S3 in high gloss black and I'm super happy with them. The blue finish on the signature has a metallic pearl effect which looks amazing together with that gold and black contrast, would've gone for signature if my budget could fit it!
@@vvmaster2010 Denon x3800H, they sound very open and big, the clarity is on point. I paired them with a DB4S which was much needed to make them truly shine
What on-wall model(s) would pair best with either the S3 or D4 series if you wanted to build a home theater around the latest and greatest B&W speakers? (It doesnt seem like they have a full home theater setup in mind for their 1st and 2nd flagship speakers, like other companies like Perlisten or RBH or JTR do.) Regardless if you have an answer or not, thank you for this video, Audio Advice!
Exactly as Marty said, there is an 800 and 700 in wall, in ceiling series www.audioadvice.com/home-audio/speakers/wall-ceiling-speakers?brand=223 Thanks for watching
I wonder how these stack up against the Klipsch RF-7 III? They probably play with more detail & clarity right? But the Klipsch could probably perform a little louder with the Horn tweeters does anyone know which way would be better for mostly movie watching but also for music occasionally…
Wow! I didn’t know the signature series was more than just a fancy paint job. The price increase is definitely justified then. I wonder if these are still made in china or if they are made with the 800 series in the UK?
We should have some soon, the demos they sent were wood for the towers, but you can probably tell the finish from the video where we have the bookshelf in blue. Thanks for watching
Im just here sharing my thoughts and opinion. And sharing what i have and my real world review. I have the 702,s and i also have 2 sets of the the bookshelves the 705,s. I am Running a Nad processor M17 V2i. I am running 2 M6 5x200 musical fidelity amps. My center channel is pairing 1 set of the 705,s together. For my height speakers. I am running 2 sets of the B&W M1 speakers. For movies only. I am using 2 Svs SB3000 subs. I happen to like the SVS subs a little more than the B&w,s. Reason Svs has more adjustability, so you can really dial them in. Just my opinion. With the front, rear, and center channels all with the tweeters on top and the fact that they were built to compliment each other. The sound is amazing. If your going to purchase any speaker brand. Make sure all your speakers match. Understand the specifications and this goes for your complete system. Make sure everything is going to match (compliment your other components). If you have any questions send a reply.
I gave your video a thumbs down because you didn’t give me the only information I care about: a listening test. Where are the sonic differences between these speakers and the 800 series? Please also compare them to similarly-priced speakers from a different manufacturer. You seem to have just read out the B&W marketing info.
This happens to be true. Still love the video but I want to delve deeper into the expertise I know this channel possesses. Let’s hear that! (Admittedly there was a little)
Sorry you were not happy. In this case we did not have time. We are a small business and find the sooner we get a video out on a new product, the more people view it and as a result find our channel where some go to our website to support our business. These arrived very late and we only had time for some listening to these models. Which all just happened a couple of days ago. The team in our Raleigh location will be comparing the bookshelves to the 805 side by side over the next few weeks. Feel free to reach out to us at www.audioadvice.com in about a month and we should know more details. What we put in here was our gut reaction to how good these did sound in comparison to our memory to the similar sized 800 models. Thanks for being a subscriber.
@@AudioAdvice That makes a lot of sense. I still really liked the video and your channel and will watch everything you guys put out. Maybe the original poster would have been happier if the video implied that it was a brief overview as opposed to a full review. I still loved the BW coverage! You guys rock!
These look sweet…that finish is something else! However, IMO, skip these and get the 800’s. Honestly, while the 700’s look amazing (they literally look better than the fatter 800s) the 800’s are the way to go. Even if they’re from the previous generation. Thank me later 😊

B&W continuing to keep their line fresh. 700 series has been a go to for years.
Glad you liked it, thanks
I have owned multiple pairs of B&W's 800 series thru the years. These new 700's are awesome!
We agree, thank you for sharing

I have a 6.1 802/805 Matrix setup
.. All scratch & dent or Ebay. I will never own better speakers. Start your search!
I’ve got the 702 S3 in white. A pair of 702 S3 Signature in blue are coming in less than a week. Can’t wait to hear the difference!
Awesome! Have fun and enjoy!
Did you notice any difference?

Quality speakers, always classy and elegant 👍🏻
Couldn't agree more!
I like the wood color on the 700 sigs better than the wood grain on the 800 sigs!
Fair enough! Thanks for sharing

Normally I see people using the various Bowers and Wilkins CT (Custom Theater) speakers as surround and Atmos speakers with the 700 and 800 series.

Yes, quite a few differences. Good question. We are checking the boxes now and will let you know.
We checked, China.

They are!
I love that wood finish. Gorgeous speakers with top-quality sound.

How much are those speakers?

Just follow the link in the video description. There we will always have the latest price. Thanks for watching
These are very beautiful but those tweeters have me scared to death. B&W is already super beamy but these look extra spicy 🌶️
Haha. Actually they are very smooth and extended. Thanks for watching
Amazing.
Glad you think so!
These are closer to the bottom of the tier in mundorf capacitors
Yes, they probably are, but still very impressive. Thanks for watching
