Nigerians needs electricity not the biggest refinery when most cars nowadays are electric. You can revamp the economy of the country with stable electricity because it will create more jobs and brings several foreign car factories to the country. Billions wasted to build a refinery, whereby rhe old refineries should have been refurbished. The same way they build a new vice president residence. The white house and Buckingham place has been built for years and been refurbished, but Nigerian old foolish leaders spent borrowed money on nonsense. They provide the corrupt senators with SUV every year with borrowed money from China despite the amount they gets salaries for not doing anything. Maybe the politicians should be the ones earning 60k naira per month. Their only run for office to suit their pockets. Nigeria has become a laughing matter around the world. A country once respected by the west.

He's talking rubbish...through one man. Is it a monopoly and if it is has he considered the ills of monopolistic companies and organizations? Why can't the government revamp and rejuvenate our old refineries and ensure their maintenance?

Dangote is a criminal that protects looted Nigerian money for the northerners. They all have stakes in the projects. Nigerians still going to pay higher price compared to other African countries just like his cements. He knows how to monopolise his business with the corrupt looters.

Nigeria couldnt do it, you think one state can? think well. this refinery was a smart idea bringing in investors from all over the world 20 billion dollars

too expensive. It is a miracle Dangote managed to complete it. Everyone has been against it.

You reason like a civil servant. Please mention one single State in the whole world who has done such before. This kind of investment can never be bankrolled by a State in Nigeria. Even if they try to conceive it, you Nigerians will accuse them of trying to steal your money. Talk is cheap. Nigerians are great talkers.
