    She is Moroccan. She is all dancers wish they could be
    Amazing...She also danced in Detroit Mi. A Fabulous Artist.

    @MrsCaptJack Please keep in mind this was filmed more than 50 years ago. It's bellydance as it was performed back then in European night clubs. I understand it's not up to the actual standards but it's here just for the record.

      Ur grandmother & my mom, Auntie & Cuzzin were best friends back in their time as young women. Her daughter is my best friend & married my cuzzin. she was a beautiful woman!! This is awesome great history to have!! Thanx for sharing it!!!

    Princess Badia Queen of the Belly Dance this tape does not project the wonder of this performer. A Wonderful Dancer & artist... She danced in Canada
    at the Barclay Hotel...to standing room only...

    One of the reasons her dance is a bit strange is because it isn't exactly belly dancing, the music seems more Moroccan and I suspect she is either Moroccan or Algerian, not Egyptian or Lebanese, hence the dancing not being as smooth. Dance in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia do use hip movements in some of their dances, but it isn't belly dancing and just because they are wearing a belly dancing costume, doesn't make it belly dancing either.

      She does not dance strange and there is no Moroccan - Algerian steps on it. Please be informed before give an opinion.

    Exposing the navel was prohibited in Egypt once Nasser came into power. This could not have been filmed in Egypt.

    Seems to be more of a Turkish Style of dancing. Also wondering about it being in color? Didn't think they did color film in 1959???
