Nate Adams is one of the legends of freestyle motocross, having won just about everything there is to win in FMX. Now semi-retired from competitions and demos, Patchy has returned to his home state of Arizona to raise his twin sons. We were able to catch up with him at Robbie Maddison's house last weekend when he came out to escape the rain and get some riding in for fun.
Nate has always been a phenomenal rider, but more importantly, personally he's just a great guy. Consistent, thoughtful, funny, empathetic and down-to-earth. Already miss him as a neighbor.

I still have a set from ~2010 that don't have a single tear in them. Excellent product from a really good dude. Great interview! I remember him throwing a nasty 360 at X-Games...nobody else had a 360 like him
He wore 4 different pairs of gloves throughout that interview....

Nate , as someone 10 years your elder, and a native Californian, I thought your interview was extremely candid. I really appreciate you telling your story., especially the truthfulness of getting older and having to wind down a career in FS/moto. I look for this video from time to time to find out more about leaving California and moving . California’s politics, regulations , and unaffordable housing aren’t worth it to me anymore. I started riding back in the day and even built my first ramp because of Nate. FMXRamps.com, bought the blueprints, and we did it. Thats where it all started for me. If he reads this, thats kind of cool. So happy to see he's a Dad, settled, and happy. Neat stuff for sure. Ride on guys.
my cousin bought John Distler 01 CR 250 in 02..Rick Distler(the dad) who was the guy who designed the rev ramps was hella cool... I must of talked to him for about and hr or so in the back yard as I drooled over his ramps lol... Then I built my own

I remember when ronnie Faisst, josh Hansen, Nate Adam's, metzger, Mike metzgers cousin Ryan ( warpt industries) other people where Christian's around metal mulisha when they were big time. I used to see Nate back in the day in church with other riders its was cool

Nate is a good dude. I bought pretty much all of his spare Alta parts, including that dummy shift lever he was talking about. I don't think i''ll be attempting flip tricks anytime soon though, so its more or less just a rare piece of Alta history.

I’ve got a few pairs they fit nice those and fist gloves are my personal favourite.
Nate was always hard working guy we all used to ride back in the day by dynamite road and we call it the watering hole but I believe he used to ride a RM back in those days we also he come out to our land in Phoenix 35 ave where we build some crazy jumps and some of the first metal ramps from the Distler

The Dude I bought a bike from a guy who claimed he had an old Nate’s freestyle ramp and he lived in ash fork by flagstaff 🤔🤔 I think he lived in Tucson or Scottsdale
Nate's originally fr Glendale.. so he's probably close maybe north Phoenix...I would see him all the time in Wittman, he had a house over in Circle city by wittmen for a couple of years, he had 3 ramps out there.. this was before moving to Cali.

California is the worst place ever I was born and raised there for 30 years. Leaving was the best decision ever.
