  • The flip side of "Oriental," 6/3/1918. This time around, the percussion registers pretty well, especially at the close.

    By the way, this was composed by a ragtime pianist named David Guion, some time in the mid teens,this was meant as a piano piece, got the full orchestra treat by Fuller

    You mentioned the percussion might be missing in the other side of this disc, when played on the old machines it is quite present, those old acoustic phonographs do bring certain bits, where as modern equipment may not

      I used to have HMV cabinet and portable gramophones, and yeah--I imagine the percussion on this would have come through beautifully.
