@@findingfinsuk How many days would you recommend staying in Shetland? Also, are there better seasons to spot Orcas? Also, curious to drone flying, I'm all about not disturbing wildlife or anyone for that matter! I have a love/hate relationship with Drone flying, but what are your thoughts on capturing aerial footage of these creatures, how do you not overstep your bounds?
@@colinandmeg Spend as much time as you possibly can to better your chances of seeing them. We have had great sightings June and July over a number of years 😊 We don't use drones but would avoid getting too close to them if you were to use them. There are rules and regulations you should look up of that's something you're planning on doing 🐬💙
@@colinandmeg we always use the north link ferry, it has different prices for vehicles, rooms etc so it can be as cheap or more expensive as you want it. You can also fly but then you'd have to hire a car etc when you get there. Hope this helps 😊
With the abundance of seals around the British Isles, its a great shame that there are not more orcas. Maybe we should campaign for captive orca to be released in the Irish Sea.
What a wonderful vlog. That was eye opening. June, July it is then. Thanks for the wonderful footage
