Mary I love that you are looking for the silver lining with your house repairs and I'm not sure if you've thought of it but having the whole house repiped will bring up your property value/resale value. When it's all said and done you will have beautiful fixtures, new paint and peace of mind. The fact that you have all that going on with a job, kids and pets and you still want to take care of your subscribers with these wonderful videos is incredible. Thank you. ❤
"It's all going to be okay. It's nothing to worry about." I'm going to make this my motto going into this period of massive home repairs we need to do. I've been waking up at 3 a.m. worrying about it so it's nice to have help falling back to sleep. And now I have a mantra to use.🧘♀️
The fact you're going through the rubbish time with your house and a job and family yet still give us videos is amazing! Thank you for all you do Mary x
My daughter & her husband just went thru the exact thing. Concrete slab too. The walls with holes, everything out of the pantry, cabinets. Then the mess from hanging the drywall & painting. Their house is in a community that is 25 years old. Several houses have the same problem. But it's been done & they feel good it's done & won't have to worry about those damn pipes/plumbing. I'm sure you'll come thru this "adventure" just fine. Nice to know you're staying calm. Take care of yourself. ❤
Your shoe comment made me giggle😊 that was a joke between my mom and I, when one of us saw a random shoe we would text each other about it lol once I found shorts in the middle of the road, I was so confused
Hi Mary! My husband & I are planning on buying our first home this year (fingers crossed) and honestly I’m so scared because I don’t know what to look for when it comes to things that would be major issues lol. Could you do a video on first time home buying? I trust your input so much and honestly don’t have much family or at least ones that I trust their opinion 😂
Definitely get an inspector. We were recommended one by some trusted friends, so ask around and look at reviews online. Our inspector walked around the house with us and explained a lot of things we didn't know about. Sorry, I know you were asking Mary, not me 😸.
I'm sorry you're having to deal with all this but I'm glad you found a good company and especially that this was caught before the pipes developed a leak or something worse. These shoes are always interesting, I could never walk in most of them but they're nice to look at :)
Did any of the big southern snowstorm make it your way? The maps on the weather showed NC on the northern edge. My niece moved to the Florida panhandle of couple years ago. She sent pics of her and family playing in the snow there.
I am not sure how it works in the States, however, in my country, everything is checked and all the info is provided upon house purchase. Down to the info about pipes, the dates of the latest renovations, etc. how the heck the inspector did not know about the pipes - what did they inspect?
My husband works for Arnold Jones Heating and Air, whatever is wrong with the furnace, $600 sounds a bit much unless replacing it. Especially if it's never been replaced.
Suspicious that the pipes that were viewable for inspection were replaced specifically to disguise the fact that the house had polybutylene pipes! Sorry you have to go through that but have to admit that for the amount of work that is a very reasonable price!
I found out that that's actually not what happened. Polybutylene pipes aren't used at the place where they connect to stuff like sinks and dishwashers, etc. It's not flexible enough, so other things are used.
Oh my gosh...so sorry you are going through all the house mess. I also thought it would be more $$ than that. Still a lot, but glad you are feeling better knowing. Houses...ugh. 🫤

Dior was putting all kinds of things on those shoes, I do love the sparkle, though ✨️

I swear we are living parallel lives. We also had the polybutylene pipes replaced and a $700 (board) furnace issue.

Nah, we just got cold rain, mostly.

Hi Mary hope all is well❤

The ugly truth is better than no truth. Good luck with the repair.
I think the one shoe on the road is from kids throwing them out the window 😂
That price is reasonable for all that work, especially if they are patching/repairing everything.

Mary make a video with your face in it… I miss seeing your honest delightful face… god bless✨
❤😊❤
Home insurance won’t pay for this?
Home insurance fixes damage caused by leaks, but not the pipes themselves. The polybutylene pipes have caused no damage.

When does she mention price
