- Explore the completely unique, German-built, Burow Ford Ranger Oman 4x4 Camper. Hans and Christina Heinrich are exploring all of North America and provide us with a detailed tour of their compact unit along with inspiring words of wisdom.
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Burow, the owner and designer of these vehicles while at the Overland expo west in Flagstaff. It is now possible to purchase one of these incredible builds on a Toyota chassis here in the US. Their company is called World Travel Vehicles , TREK 2. They are expensive but incredibly well made.

Ich sehe, Sie benutzen noch einmal eigene Matratzen (- auf den schon im Burow Oman vorhandenen Polstern): Aus welchem Grund? Und welche sind das genau?
Bei früheren Modellen des Oman waren die Polster oft feucht (vom Schlafen), da nach unten und auch zu den Seitenwänden (Kältebrücke) keine Belüftung möglich war ... wie es nach Verbesserungen (Alu-Lochgitter unten, Abstände seitlich, etc) jetzt der Fall ist.
Auch gibt es jetzt dreischichtige Polster (mit Frolis unten, Hartschaum mitte, Viskoschaum oben) von Burow.
Wie ist es bei Hitze draußen (30-40 Grad draußen)? Isoliert der Oman da ganz gut = welcher Temperaturunterschied etwa innen? Und wie benutzen sie dann Deckenlüfter & gekippte Fenster & offene Türen ... oder doch besser alles dicht machen?
