I think the fish fund money is a cute way for kids to feel like they're more directly participating in helping the animals and that it's really really sweet. You guys are wonderful people and you always make sure to clarify that this money goes to the care of the animals. Younger kids that don't have the resources to be part of the patreon or buy merch can feel like they're doing things for the animals directly by giving some allowance or pocket money, and I think that's a really sweet outlet for them. You guys definitely deserve all this support, you're doing so much good for these animals and just educating the public about reptiles!!
Yeah, but I can see why they say not to. Like you don't want it stolen, sending cash in the mail is almost never a good idea, and you don't wanna set a bad precedent. That said, if their parents are fine with it 🤷

Like if they actually didnt want to deal with having money be donated, they would say flat out that they wont accept money at all, they wouldnt add on that they will keep the money to spend on the animals.
