I like the HK CC9 and the HK quality behind it. I don't care if it looks like the Taurus GX4. The price for the HK isn't bad so I'd buy the HK over the Taurus GX4. HK quality over Taurus quality, that's an easy choice.
@@scaldedape6213 I'm excited for longer slide options. I saw a picture of one in one of the Holsters HK sells through their e-shop and it clearly has accomodation for a longer slide out the gate, looks to be able to hold around a 3.7" slide.
@@InvidiousIgnoramusI bought the holster you’re talking about and was kind of annoyed with the extra length at the end of the holster but I never thought that maybe it’s because they have a longer slide.
The thing that got me to buy the hellcat again was the gear up package. Nothing better than buying a gun and having a bunch of magazines to start off with. Now I have a couple different hellcats.
Must be Friday morning. Hammer video time! Well Hammer Striker video time or rather Striker video. Been a member of the Croatian brotherhood of the XD for a while now, can't stray away from Springfield and love my Hellcat just the same like my XDs.
Would still be carrying my gen 1 hellcat but the u notch sights and heavy-ass, clunky trigger that locks up with even tiny amounts of lateral force on the trigger blade just didn't do it for me. They changed the trigger design in later gens but i never tried that. I prefer a stock carry, or I'd just change those parts. It's a shame, because it's otherwise such a nice gun.
I felt the same way about the stock trigger when I got my Hellcat brand new 8 months ago so I went through with spending the $90 on the whole Apex enhancement trigger kit w/sear+striker springs and I'm glad I did, it made all the difference 🙂
He fails to mention the most important engineering design, the HK is fully ambidextrous and the Hellcat is not! I’m really surprised he left that vital point out, because for a lot of left-handed shooters that’s a huge benefit and selling point.
Who said I was left handed? I guess you don’t know the wise old saying about people who falsely assume things. Anyway, from a tactical standpoint, it’s important to be a proficient shooter from the right or left side, which is why military and law enforcement agencies train from both sides and also why many major gun manufacturers are starting to produce fully ambitious handguns. Stay safe my friend.
I have one. I like it a lot. I'm hoping they come out with an xmacro size grip since the FCU is removable. I have XL hands and the cc9 fits my hand great. The trigger is very nice. It's a very accurate pistol.
I guess if I were buying my first EDC gun I'd take a look at the CC9, but for me it's really late to the game. I've tried and discarded a half a dozen micro 9s already and came up with the Shield Plus and IWI Masada S as my two favorites. I like HK and these look like great guns but I'm already settled on my carry system, have lots of practice time in, and it doesn't make sense to start over again for what can only be incremental gains, if any.
I have been waiting for IWI masada slim and for obvious reason they are hard to come by, I was lucky enough to secure one of the.first cc9 when ii was int he right place right time at my local gun store , this plus my tuned wilson combat p365 and my oem p365 wiht radian afterburner and ramjet ,, they are. my EDC's just ordered a holster for the cc9 form one of my fave producers wiht Black Friday 30% code so in about week will be in my rotation
So would you say a well broken in Apex Trigger in the Hellcat is better in every way than the cc9 stock trigger? I have a Hellcat OSP and put an Apex Trigger in it after the first 100 rounds and I'm already over 3000 rounds through it and the Apex Trigger was already nicer to me when I first installed it than the stock trigger but now it is even smoother having been broken in but I'm wondering how a broken and Apex Trigger compares to the cc9 stock trigger?
I had the OG Hellcat. Didn't really like it and sold it the moment I got my hands on the P365. Too me, the recoil impulse was just not to my liking and it also did not feel "right" in my hands. I also had a broken striker after about 100 rounds. However, Springfield's customer service was top notch and I got a replacement striker within a week. But as a result, I always had this lingering thought in the background that it could fail on me so that always bugged me. Anyways, the P365 has been my primary carry since that point and at one point, even had three (two XLs in different slide combinations and a Macro). The CC9 piqued my interest so just recently took it home and excited to check it out! Also have a G48 so wonder how it compares.
Nobody should buy the manual safety hellcat. that safety is utterly impossible to manipulate from either side, comically stiff and the plastic levers flex a lot.
Same reason I won't buy S&W, Ruger, Colt, HK or Remington. At one time or the other they all sold out on 2A. Bill Ruger suggesting a 10 round mag limit to Congress. S&W willingly putting frame locks on their revolvers and all the others that are too much to detail in this post.

Everyone’s gonna change their tune when different grip modules and magazine sizes become available.

Most people would consider that the least important engineering design. If you're left handed you could just learn to stop being wrong.

The grip is .99", isn't that a little thin for XL hands?
@@TheDrew718 it's not the width, it's the front to back. the large backstrap gives it the same trigger reach as a VP9.

Agree with you. Same track record and Shield plus is for me.
Agreed. I could pick a CC9 if I really wanted to but I’m 100% content with my Shield Plus, it’s probably one of the best pistols in its category.

the sig is so overrated

I take it you shot the CC9? Better imho, especially recoil.
I'll take the hellcat
The Hellcat has a crisp trigger? Since when? The trigger is horrible, unless you're a Glock fan.

Hellcat all day.
I still cant forgive Springfield when they sided against the 2A, so anything for me is a better choice.
are you still avoiding Budweiser and Gillette blades too?

hellcat.. the king... uh no.

Glock 26; cheaper, simpler, plus all the mag options.
And a full size gun when it comes to width. Glock doesn’t make anything to compete without using questionable aftermarket mags…
The 26 is too thick. And now the Hellcat has up to 17 round mags and guns like p365 having up to 21 round mags.
How many mags do you shoot at one time?
@@timrobinson6573 just saying it can fit and handle all sizes.
