I’m so happy that even tho I’m just recently getting into your channel I’m still seeing more new stuff coming out! Hope to see more vids on the dwarf build too!
I am so pumped to see the last bit of this armor! Parts of this will be the base for my first cosplay that I will enter into a contest. Thank you for all of the time you have put into these templates.
I actually started cosplaying around my city because of your templates. All great works! Right now, I'm currently doing the Red Hood armor tutorial you just made with which the chest front I'm already done. I'm gonna do another build of it though since the 10mm chest part ( which I made with an 8mm generic foam) is too heavy and constricting for me, so I'm gonna build it next with just a 6mm foam so that it fits my body well. This piece you're doing is actually making me think of a Sengoku style armor of Darth Vader, which I plan to do some design changes from your template once I'm done with Red Hood. Again, great crafts as always!
That's awesome to hear, Thank You! The type of foam you use makes a huge difference in thickness and how easy it is to work with and manipulate. If you ever have a chance try mine and you'll see what i mean
I've been following this series. I looked at ordering foam. About how much material (kits) are required to make these pieces...each and the whole set eventually. Thanks.
Always such a clean job. It looks fantastic ! Quick question : I'd like to make a full body armor (Star Wars Clone Trooper's) without the helmet and I'm interested to buy your 10mm HD-Foam. With your expertise, how many would you recommand me to buy ? I'm in France and I don't want to be short on the supplies but I don't want to have too much left over either.
Hey, I appreciate the support 🙌 My suppliers are US based and shipping would be very very high. If you’d like to help the channel by all means you can donate there are links on my site. For overseas check out polyprops not quite as good as mine but better than most of the others I’d say 3 sheets but you might rethink the 10mm to 6 or 8
@@SKSProps thanks for the very fast answer! Ok I’ll do just that. Glad to help because your work is top notch. I guess you’re right for the shipping fees so thank you also for the recommendation.
So freaking amazing. And soooo detailed! Holy snap. How much lacing and paracord have you used so far? I keep watching that roll getting smaller and smaller. It almost makes me wonder if the armor makers of that period had some serious ADHD issues going on. Or, if not in the beginning, some issues by the time they finished. Just amazing, Steve! Thank you!
Thanks! I bought a spool of flat laces which was 144 yeards and I still have a good amount left. I actually picked up 2 just in case and I might need to dip into the next spool after the armor below the waist. The 750 paracord was also a spool off of amazon but I have a bunch left
This is amazing. Really really amazing. I know it’s rude to me to ask this, but is it possible for you to make guts berserker armor? I’d love to see you make this. And I know others will.
Every poject is an opprotunity for success or a learning situation so even if it doesn't come out exactly how you'd like it still isn't a complete failure 👍
I had plans on to making a samurai armor with 3-D printing for a friend, of course, but do you know where I can get a 3-D printer that can make pieces of armor not necessarily all that, but pieces like enough to combine them all together
@@SKSProps well, what I can tell you is that you can literally make samurai masks from 3-D printers and the whole armor thing it’s just merely a theory which is very possible
For what size are your templates? I'm 147 cm or 57,87 inches if I calculated it correctly. Should I print these templates at maybe 85% of the original size? Your work is absolutely beautiful.
@@SKSProps I just now found out that 5'7" means 5 feet and 7 inches. Who knew I'd ever start learning imperial measurements google tells me this is 170 cm by the way so now I can start calculating. Thanks again

Love your videos! Ever consider building a FNAF prop, especially with the movie coming up?
Don't mind me. Just watching Steve make Samurai armor because I enjoy listening to him talk about building things with foam.
Soothing sounds of SKS Props 🤣
Your paint skills are as much appreciated as the way you do these builds. I love it. Faux finished have come a long way and this piece is amazing.
Thank you!! I’m glad you appreciate the craftsmanship 🙌
I'd love to see your take on a custom Mandalorian in this style. This project is turning out great!
Thank you very much! 🙌 and that’s my hope that others will customize the project and make it their own
Love how this is coming together-it looks like a museum piece! Amazing work as always, Steve!
Thank you! 🙌🙌

Could you do Daemon Targaryen helmet?? I only find it in EVA foam, but the result is not that great
Wow cool 🎉

I know you used this with foam, but I’m going to try it with paper. I hope it works
Good luck bro, actually try cardboard. And still good luck

Thanks! some berserk stuff on my build list, but it is a very looooong list and it's just what inspires me build to build so maybe someday
Oke sir... I'll do it at home... but I'm afraid to fail... but this is my hobby, I will do it even if it fails... thank you sir.

Hello, las láminas de foam estarían disponibles para comprar en españa?
unfortunately my products are US based for overseas check out Polyprops
I have white primer can I use it instead of black?
@@paulosmetal my primer is red. The Plasti dip is black and I wouldn’t recommend white plasti dip

Original design is for 5’7”-5’10” so that should help you decide on how much to scale down

Do you think this would work with cardboard?
Foam, leather, metal, cardboard etc use whatever you have.
quiero aprender a fabricar armadura de samurai. soy argentino, instructor de samrai y ninjutsu
what material is it made of
I mentioned it in the beginning and there are links in the description. It’s my line of HD-Foam
What is a name glue?
I use Bob smith superglue and weldwood contact cement
