  • This is quite simply the best seafood burger I've ever had in my life! After a long day fishing in the Bahamas we head in where a homemade seafood burger made with fresh lobster, shrimp, conch and fish is prepared for us. I literally inhaled this ginormous beast of magnificent flavor!

    In regard to the Jack that was thrown back…He said “if that was Jamaica it would be in the pot; to the Detriment of the fishing ecosystem on the island.
    Jamaicans don’t obey the rules. The reason why most of the coral reef-along with the fishing stock are dying around the island is because of the lack of rules.
    Without the reefs and the fish stocks, Jamaica loses a large part is it beauty. Ban fish traps (the worst offenders) and implement into law, sizing, fishing seasons, and fishing licenses.

    • @JamaicaFoodBoss
      @JamaicaFoodBoss  Год назад +2

      I agree but not entirely. Our coral reefs are in the state they are because of the developments of hotels and other properties that damage the reefs with toxic waste being pushed out to sea. They’re not the only ones to blame but are a huge reason why fishing has become so scarce. Our waters are also illegally poached by trawlers and illegal fishing vessels that come from other countries so our local fisher folk are left to harvest what is left. So it’s not just the local fishing industry it’s a complete systematic failure of protection. One love.

    • @sd1349
      @sd1349 Год назад

      @@JamaicaFoodBoss I somewhat agree. However, you’re in the Bahamas, where their experiences are similar to Jamaicas, but their shoreline fisheries and reef growth are thriving. The reason for that, are the rule and regulations in place that protects their industry.
      I sympathize with the Jamaican conditions, but Jamaicans need to hold their government accountable, in order to protect (Her) the islands beauty, cultural pride and heritage-once an for All.

      You are absolutely right ✅️ my friend Jamaica 🇯🇲 water is over fish 🐟 and that's because there's no rules and regulations I see that they are now raising tilapia in ponds very sad 😢

      @@sd1349 yes this is true the education of the Bahamian fisheries is way more advanced. The fish we released wasn’t because of size but because of the potential of ciguatera which I wasn’t even aware that Jacks could carry. So there needs to be way more education on protection and species for us as a country to move forward. As with anything a small start can go a long way

    • @sd1349
      @sd1349 Год назад

      @@JamaicaFoodBoss- You’re right about education (on all levels) when it come to knowing the beauty and benefits that Jamaica provides to its people. She (Jamaica) is amazing. She also deserves a lot more respect from her inhabitants-when it comes to sustainability and eco-consciousness. Destruction of the aforementioned, cost the island economically.
      Jamaica sits #9 above Suriname (one of the regions poorest countries, with pretty Decent offshore fishery industry) out of 10 Caribbean nations in relations to it GDP, Jamaica also borrows more than every single Caribbean nations. Her prime Minister‘s wealth exceeds $56 million US.? No more excuses…
      We were-once upon a time- #1 in all categories… Jamaica can a should do better.

    A burger like that may taste nice but it's just a waste of the seafood especially if you in the islands.
